Im from Long Island... which is a like a whole other world compaired to the rest of NY so ill keep it around there.

according to Wikipedia next to New Brunswick, NJ we have the biggest indie/emo scene in the USA.. kinda nutty when you think about it

Yea, Wilco is from Chicago, and Uncle Tupelo is from Bellville, which is close to St. Louis but still in Illinois.

Of currently active musicians, my favorite group from Minnesota would have to be either be Low or someone from the Rhymesayers label (probably Brother Ali).

Older favorites: Bob Dylan, The Suburbs, and Hüsker Dü.

we're pretty good friends with BVS, and have played with fordirelifesake, but i've only seen the black dhalia murder @ ozzfest. Awesome

Flee the Century and Death to Grays, who have recently broken up, are both amazing bands from Spokane, WA, about 90 mins from where i live.

Nanomansion is a local band (Lewiston, ID) they're cool guys, and make some beautiful music.
