Mike Ness was probably too busy shooting up.
When did he quit heroin? |
I don't know. I've just heard rumors that he still does it.

haha Does heroin have anykind of affect on your weight? I know that people who snort a lot of coke lose a lot of weight. Haha that night he was looking kinda chubby. Fatter than in most pictures or on the Live in Orange County dvd... idk heroin or no, he's still someone i look up to. |

Thats probably just a rumor, although I wouldn't be surprised. |
I doubt it...
****, i really wish they wouldve played Dont Drag Me down, dear lover, bad luck...but no. I personally dont like their new album much, there's a few good songs, but theyre too slow. |

Yeah, pretty fast. They were cool, have you ever heard them?
I'd say they sound kind of like Lars Frederiksen and the bastards, but with a singer who kinda screamed a little more, and looked like he belonged in My Chemical Romance or something... But yeah, they were a cool band, for sure... The bass player was like, this big, hairy, sasqutch monkey man. haha |

at the venue we saw them, the fuc'kface bouncers were kicking people out for moshing, and because LCA was opening, the crowd wasnt that into them. I think that they should tour with someone else, because a lot of the Social D crowd isn't even into a band like that. But with the no moshing **** at the show, at the end when they 0played Story of My Life, holy ****. The crowd turned into one big pit, and there was nothing they could do... |
favourite songs would have to be
Story Of My Life When The Angels Sing Don't Drag Me Down I Was Wrong their old guitarist died at the age of 30 something cause he had a brain anerysm...or however the hell you spell it... I should work on getting my grade 3, oh well. |
Dennis Danell, rhythm guitarist with Social D and the only founding member left besides Mike Ness, died on February 29th 2000 of a brain aneurysm.
He was only 38 years old. |

Last night's Social D show was hella fun, the Eyeliners were possibly one of the worst bands Ive ever seen, but it was worth it to see Social D. I almost got my *** kicked by this thirty something year old rockabilly guy for bumping into him
|
What subgenre would Social D be considered?

Swingin' Utters. Street Dogs. |
Swingin' Utters. Street Dogs.
Swingin Utters definitly, Street Dogs not as much. Social D has a really distinct sound, almost Punk/RockabillyCountry |

Street Dogs sound more like Social D than the Utters do. |
Street Dogs sound more like Social D than the Utters do.
That was my thought exactly. |
I would say Social D can be classed under rock 'n' roll too.
I recently acquired the Japenese version of "Social Distortion" with 2 bonus tracks - "It's All Over Now" and "Shame On Me". Anyone heard them? |
great band. that is all I can say :D
s/t stands for self titled. |
Dude, Social Distortion is my favorite band of all time. I started out listening to them, and they still are just as great as they were then. There is not one song by them that I don't like, they are one of the few bands that I can put in their album and listen to it straight through numerous times. I saw them last october when Matt Freeman was playing bass for them, and Tiger Army opened. It was an absolutely excellent show.
|
im lisnin 2 them rite now. my faovrite songs are ball and chain, dont drag me down, dont take me for granted, its the law, story of my life and every other song they play.
|
Angel's Wings is my favorite song. Mike Ness's voice makes it sound great.

Yea, the eyeliners did suck. After the show some dude was trying to sell thier cd to my friend, she was very drunk, and kept going on and on about how bad they sucked, so this guy was like, ''well you see this girl on the cd? thats my wife!'' So my friend was like, ''oh honey, thats so great that you have a wife who can open up for Social D'' He was pretty offended and walked away. |
Finally picked up Prison Bound the other day. It was their only studio album I was missing.
Listening to it now. Really good so far, but that was expected from this band. |
L.A. Prison Bound is one of my favorite album ever....I mean you have 3 simply amazing song on it ----> Prison Bound, It's Law and Lost Child
|
I'm on "I Want What I Want" right now. My favorite so far would have to be "Like An Outlaw (For You)". The sound clips are cheesy as fuc'k, but it's still irresistably catchy. But they are all so good. I love the acoustic guitars on this CD.
Such an incredible band. I've been listening to Somewhere Between Heaven And Hell non-stop lately. |
what would their best album be?
