I actually like papa roach...............

I'll try to get votes up by tomorrow night. I'm on a drill weekend so i'm tired as kcuf.

I'm pretty sure KSE wins this challenge. Though we only had like 6 people vote with 2 days left.

sorry necroses-bass, im just describing the stereotype. All I hear about goths is that they go around to cemetaries and drink sh*tloads of coffee and write poetry on how much their life sucks.

It's true.

Harsh... I had a huge rant at another message board about emo-slagging and how different most 'emo' is from the stereotype. I shall copy/paste, just to make myself feel better.

Emo is not crying and whinging. That's Staind. Dashboard confessional are not the only emo band ever. Most emo-slaggers haven't even heard 'proper' emo bands like Jimmy Eat World, Jets To Brazil, Samiam (bit of a stretch but I consider them emo), The Get-Up Kids or Sunny Day Real Estate.
Apologies, but the emo-slagging is beginning to grate. :)

(and yes, I also hate emo kids who do nothing but whinge.)

Yes, mother.

I don't even consider the stuff you listed to be real emo. I'm sure DFelon or one of the others will set the record straight...

A_Perfect_Sonnet 03-14-2005 10:45 AM

Those were awful bands he mentioned...

Necroses-bass 03-14-2005 02:19 PM

Please don't get started on emo again.
Even I will agree emo is a million times better than them crap bands mentioned

A_Perfect_Sonnet 03-14-2005 02:40 PM

Common "emo lover" phrase:
OMGAH LOLZ! DASHBOARD IS LYKE MY EMO DREAM BAND<3333 LOLZ!

theredwonder 03-14-2005 02:44 PM

COMMON MXER'S MISTAKE:

You don't know which bands are emo, i know which bands are emo. All your bands aren't emo, idiot.

A_Perfect_Sonnet 03-14-2005 02:49 PM

Except, my statement was actually true.

A_Perfect_Sonnet 03-14-2005 03:32 PM

A note to AddictedToChaos: MMPR's song didn't count for the challenge, he entered too late.

I thought 'Emo' = Emotional Hardcore.
You'd be hard pressed to call Jimmy Eat World or any of the others hardcore of any sort.

Eh, I dont care for the 'real' or 'imagined' emo anyways.

*Edited MMPR out of the votes

k.s.e. 03-14-2005 09:58 PM

addicted... antemath is a spin on the word "aftermath". One of the ideas inspired by the peice was the possibility at consequence could work in reverse. Say if one event in the future caused another event in the past to happen. Of course, the thing that happened in the past would be limited by a constraint that would allow a course of events to happen that would allow the future event to happen, although would not directly cause the future event to take place (then consequence would be working normally).

Do you get what i'm going on about? The word "prefacy" is also a spin on "profacy". Same idea.
