And we kinda played blood red summer, and he just butchered 33.
|
I personally can play about 3/4 of their songs. I just need to go over them with my other mates. The one I love to play the most is either Neverender or The Crowing.
I can play: IKSSE:3 (Claudio) The Crowing (Claudio) Cuts Marked in the March of Men (Travis) Three Evils (Claudio) Blood Red Summer (Both guitars) Al The Killer (Claudio) Favor House Atlantic (Both guitars) Time Consumer (Both guitars) Devil In Jersey City (Both guitars) Delerium Trigger (Claudio and Travis mixture) 33 (Claudio) Neverender (Claudio) Godsend Conspirator (Claudio) :naughty: |

When we play blood red summer, I (the bassist) have to play the lead while joe plays the muted chords in the background.
That sounds like it would be really odd. You could have gone without the lead being in any form. |
I love playing the intro to A Favor House Atlantic. It's so easy and fun.
|
Yeah, I was into playing that alot for a while too. Now I love playing the main riff from Al The Killer. :thumb:
|
I haven't learned Al the Killer yet, but The Crowing & IKSSE:3 are fun also.
|
The only song of theirs that I've ever bothered learning all the way is 2113 just because of the cool riffs etc...
I like the band a fair amount, it's the best riff-driven rock I've heard in awhile. |
And we kinda played blood red summer, and he just butchered 33.
I wouldn't say "butchered"...uhmm....yes I would. And you made it sound like I couldn't play the lead in blood red summer....cause I can you tard...And I learned 33 last night. :D Funn Funn. Stop skipping skeww cob. Dan said he misses you. |
Thats creepy. I had a nosbleed for like, 10 minutes today. It started about 30 seconds after i woke up.
I know you can play the lead, but you ****ed up the chorus and played the wrong chords, even after i told every time you messed up. Bitch. |

They are not poppunk, they belong in the alt-indy forum I believe. They are prog-punk I guess. The only thing that keeps people thinking they are pop-punk is Claudio's high pitch singing.
|
Yeah, dont get angry.....we know they arent pop-punk. But in the alt indie forums, everyone will say "theyre not alt/indie, theyre just poppy emo crap that has some prg influences."
So, because the other forums get thier panties in a bunch, we discuss them here. The official ruling is theyre simply a unique form of pop-punk. |

*agrees with cobert* You see, no matter where we take this, we are going to have little poons aruging over what they really are. Some people say Pop-Punk, some people say Indie, some people say Emo... we really don't give a f*ck. We only put it here because most of the people here actually enjoy their music. If we took this into the R&M forums, it would be nothing but flaming. It's just the way it is. |
I call them progressive emo...thats just me though
|
pretty gay band singer is on helium
|

|

Yeah I can see the light and the glass not working live, it'd be better on some from of unplugged date/tour |
Yeah, unless they followed it with like, Devil in Jersy City or some other high energy dong, I can see that bringing everything to a screeching halt.
I cant wait until they come back around Pittsburgh again. I havent seen them live yet, but my sister did. And she said claudio was wearing a striped shirt and he looked like the hamburglar. |

I don't get why anyone ever considered them emo.
I mean even the fake definition of emo doesn't fit them. His lyrics tell a story. ?? |
Some one just had a discussion about at the drive in in the r/m forums. ADI are emo, apparently. The lyrics dont mean much to the genre anymore, but some of CO/CAM's music could fit emo. Actually, HYNC said progressive emo. Good definition of them, that'd be.
|
Oh...
Thank you. I consider them mall-metal, alt-metal. Whichever. Prog-alt-metal? ADI? who's that? |
Oh...
Thank you. I consider them mall-metal, alt-metal. Whichever. Prog-alt-metal? ADI? who's that?
Mall-metal? WTF? I guess theres not enough metal in them to say anything like that. But genre's really dont matter. EDIT: ADI is a typo. It should be ATDI, for "at the dirve-in" |
I don't get why anyone ever considered them emo.
I mean even the fake definition of emo doesn't fit them. His lyrics tell a story. ??
It's because Emo isn't just about the lyrics or the vocals in general. Emo is just a style of music created for people to let out all the pent up emotions they are feeling, in any form possible. Emo is more about PLAYING THE INSTRUMENTS by using Emotion not Knowledge. They only way to really tell if a band is "Emo" or not is by watching them play live, and after seeing them for the second time, I can say that they are "Emo" to certain degrees. |
