a_girl_brushed_red_x 04-18-2006 09:56 PM

i think underoaths old stuff is really depressing, im not really into it, but giving up hurts the most is a really good depressing song.

Tusk 04-18-2006 10:06 PM

Anything I dont like... damn, could you imagine being forced into a seat to listen to 120 hours of The Backstreet Boys straight? Depressing...

Crysiss 04-18-2006 10:33 PM
i think underoaths old stuff is really depressing, im not really into it, but giving up hurts the most is a really good depressing song.
Thats the first underoath song I heard. Here I was thinking they were all great then I heard a song from the newest album.
I was turned off by the emo-ness

theyre only chasing safety is so good!

Crysiss 04-18-2006 10:40 PM

I just like the tremelo picking and the blastbeat style drumming. Im not really into theyre only chasing safety at all.

Its just my opinion because im more metal oriented:thumb:

YAY ANOTHER UNDEROATH FANBOY

Damn straight Giving Up Hurts The Most is amazing, probably their best song, I love it, Dallas really shows that he can go high end and low end a lot in that song, plus Aaron's drumming is spectacular.

ThePinkPanther 04-18-2006 11:09 PM

I think pretty much any MTV Unplugged performance always winds up having a depressing mood.

zabbit82 06-03-2006 08:06 PM

Good call. Every time I hear it, it brings back bad memories.

Scoot 06-03-2006 11:14 PM

Fire Above, Ice Below - Agalloch

Seeing as it's most likely the most amazing song I've ever heard, it's also kind of depressing.

Kreator2112 06-03-2006 11:22 PM

Opeth - Weakness

..I absolutely love it.

nkl420 06-03-2006 11:41 PM

King_Of_Terrors 06-04-2006 12:03 AM

Empyrium and the acoustic Ulver album would be my top, along with Agalloch.

Amit 06-04-2006 03:02 AM
I went through a time when I was down and out and I intensified my feelings by listening to depressing music. I was wondering if anyone would like to share some of their "depressing songs." Here are some that I liked:
Nine Inch Nails: Hurt
Smashing Pumpkins: Jellybelly
To Forgive
Galapagos
F*** YOu (An ode to no one)
Soma
(and many more by them)
A Perfect Circle: The Package
The Noose
Radiohead: How to Disappear Completely
Idioteque (Not really depressing, but sounds like he is in anguish, especially when he says "is this really happening"?)
Tool: Sober
Forty-Six and Two
Eulogy
Schism
umm i think the bbc made a poll and britain voted samuel barber's adagio for strings (aka agnus dei) the saddest song ever

heavy metal kid 06-04-2006 03:06 AM

urban legends and world history says that Gloomy Sunday by Reszo Seress is the most depressing song ever.

Amit 06-04-2006 03:54 AM
urban legends and world history says that Gloomy Sunday by Reszo Seress is the most depressing song ever.
