just because they arent a grind band anymore doesnt mean ye styill cant say they're one of yer fav grind bands. considering they did release grind material, so in a thread about grind, if someone mentions ND, its common knowledge that they are refferring to ND's grind stuff. but i do agree with those who mentioned the white-belt [SIZE=2]s[/SIZE]hit, that aint grind, and as for AF...that was just dumb.

i loved [i]Order of the Leech[/i], but yet again ive always loved metal, though im kinda indifferent as to which era was better. i tend to like all their stuff equally.

crust, like any other genre has a wide range of bands, and thus, not all bands sound the same, some have their own style. as for me, it has an obvious influence from metal, and i started listening to metal before i listened to punk, so that and my interest in politics, kinda threw me upon it, as it was the best thing for me.

I don't know why I like grind. A lot of the time I just like stuff that is really noisy and really fast for this short burst of musical chaos to blow my mind for a few seconds.

I like crust because of the metal influence and the political side.

But both I can't listen to very long or I will get a massive headache.

that's for their album, [i]Crust as [SIZE=2]F[/SIZE]uck Existence[/i]

this album truly shows their musical greatness, playing amazing crust punk on a 4 track-long record, 3 of which are 6 min or longer. such an awesome record, has a more death metal feel to it at times.

this album has a more crust feel to it, as it is alot faster than the previous album i posted. a total of 16 tracks, with most being at about 2 min. great guitar riffs with raging drum beats. all in all a really good album, but yet again, they'r emy fav crust band, so im a bit biased. :p

Judging from a couple of posts in this topic, I really doubt everyone here knows exactly what grind is, and if all of ND's material is, indeed, grind.

oh yea, i doubt that too, although for the most part, the ones who have posted in this thread have some basic knowledge of grind. as for the ND thing, if they dont realize that ND arent grind anymore, well they should. but im sure those who said ND can distinguish ND's grind stuff with their later done death metal stuff. either way, i love all their stuff.

Pig Destroyer, Napalm Death, DEP (If you considor it grind), Carcass (Best grind around).

I'm kinda on the fence about DEP. They aren't really grind, but the kind of are. I don't like the term "math metal" so I just call them grind because I'm lazy.

They're tech metal. They have the start stop rhythms of grind but not really enough to call them grind.

But there isn't really "metal" about them. Their riffing style isn't metal at all, neither are the solos or anything.

They're older stuff is heavy enough to be called metal. The new CD is really hard to classify.

What exactly is crust?Is that like Today Is the Day? I know what grind is but I am not too sure what crust is...

Crust is heavyier 'crustier' hardcore, stuff like Aus Rotten.

crust isn't as widely accepted as some other kinds of punk. if ye use slsk, ye can get stuff from the majority of those bands off of my list.

Has anyone heard of The Locust? I think they are grind,but if not,they are similar to it,and they are really good.
