ATM 09-21-2006 06:27 PM

Yea my dad was like "Christian you gotta watch this".

ATM 09-21-2006 06:30 PM

The part with him riding the segway cracked me up.

The Jungler 09-21-2006 06:47 PM

I've ridden a segway before. They're actually pretty fun to ride.

sexymuffin 09-21-2006 06:49 PM

segways are so pointless.

Glitterati 09-21-2006 06:59 PM

yeah i gots legs for a reason.

Broken Arrow 09-21-2006 07:02 PM

I have legs so I can stand on segways.

The Jungler 09-21-2006 07:03 PM

I dunno, if they cost like 200 bucks I'd pick one up, but 3k or whatever is just way too much.

sexymuffin 09-21-2006 07:09 PM

if i ever saw someone on the sidewalk on a segway, i'd punch them in the face and take it.

Glitterati 09-21-2006 07:11 PM

JonM 09-21-2006 07:15 PM

I cannot believe that I am taking a class called "From Bebop to Hip Hop: Evolution Of A Music" as part of my Ivy League education. But I like it.

ATM 09-21-2006 07:16 PM

What!? That's so awesome. I want to study musical anthropology.

Kyle 09-21-2006 07:19 PM

Heh, I bet you're the major music nerd in that class, Jon.

Sounds awesome, I'd love to study stuff like that.

JonM 09-21-2006 07:20 PM

I took an ethnomusicology class last semester and it was the shit.
Heh, I bet you're the major music nerd in that class, Jon.
I wish. People in there make me look like a Republican when it comes to hip hop.

Kyle 09-21-2006 07:22 PM

Well that's even more awesome! some interesting people to speak to, I'm sure.

JonM 09-21-2006 07:28 PM

Very. I'm going to learn a lot.

ATM 09-21-2006 09:32 PM

What did the ethnomusicology class cover? I want to pursue this a bit.

Zmev 09-21-2006 10:00 PM

Yeah meeting Dj Shadow was worth the pounding headache I have now.

sexymuffin 09-21-2006 10:01 PM

Interviewer: "So what makes you more qualified then the other applicants for a job here?"
JonM: "Well, I know a shitload about hip-hop music"
Interviewer: "I see... anything else?"
JonM: "No, not really..."
Interviewer: "I see..."

A true story that has yet to happen, but will very soon.

Luxor 09-22-2006 09:44 AM

I'm in my second year, I like it a lot more than the first. I know everyone, there's always someone to get drunk with in the pub at 1 in the afternoon, and I own all the classes doing minimal work because I know exactly what I'm doing.

But then again, I go to college.

Broken Arrow 09-22-2006 10:25 AM

What college?

I assume it's in Canada.

Luxor 09-22-2006 10:44 AM

Sheridan, in Oakville.

Glitterati 09-22-2006 05:20 PM

I was in Auto Tech today and we were listening to the radio, and that really awful Fergie song came on the road. Some of the guys in my class starting dancing to it and it cracked me up.

Now I see the error of my ways.

I see, can't say I've heard of it.

I do know where Oakville is though.

I just got some free downloads from eMusic. I have 20 right now (will get more) and I am looking for some good cd's, without very many tracks. I just downloaded GY!BE, and parts are good but as a whole I don't know how so many people love this. Lots of it just seems to drag on and get boring.
