I'm off to see Maiden on Monday, yay!:D

I was talking to my dad and he's got a mate where he works that knows Nicko....he got to sit in Eddies head one time on tour, I was impressed.

FFAF sucks...hopefully Anthrax will open for the US shows
I would love Anthrax to open for them, but I've got a new idea. What if they had Judas Priest and Iron Maiden tour together, rotating who closed every other show? Now I would pay to see that good of a show!

sensitiveorgan00 12-12-2003 02:04 PM

^ My friend told me that Judas Priest and Iron Maiden might tour together actually. It's just a rumor I think, but if they do tour together, that'll pwn.

Firstly I am maidens biggest fan in the world i have all the albums except the 6 cd collection (eddies archive) but i am getting that for christmas so that oughta complete the collection. I have got all the dvds also and i got visions of the beast and dance of death before the came out in cd stores (became friends with the manager). If you ever want to listen to or buy a great maiden album i suggest you listen to/buy somwhere in time...it has fantastic solos and really has the band giving it there all...i could also say this about fear of the dark...it is very melodic and shows a different side to maiden. but the greatest song of course afraid to shoot strangers i suggest everyone gives this a listen at some point..it has a fantastic melody and also has its share of metal.

UP THE IRONS

Same goes. Only my favourite band, period, not just my favourite metal band.

You can't say you are the biggest fan of any band.

FrailandBedazzled1979 12-14-2003 03:37 AM

I aggree, Maiden have came and gone as my favourite band many times. they will always remain one of my favourites though.

RockerGav 12-14-2003 03:39 AM

It's always my 3rd favourite that comes and goes, Maiden are ALWAYS first, and Offspring are ALWAYS second.

(Yes I like the Offspring, I don't care what you think of them)

Just got Powerslave and Iron Maiden today.

Powerslave is awesome, second only to BNW. I haven't really listened to IM yet.

RockerGav 12-18-2003 01:07 AM

Iron Maiden is a great cd, i like it alot more than killers (sorry, personal preference) phantom of the opera, transylvania, sanctuary, iron maiden...those are just some of their best songs they ever wrote. Powerslave is a monster and a half. aces high, los'fer words, flash of the blade, powerslave....again, more of their greatest tunes. Ive had both albums for about 4 years and still listen to them very often, you'll get years of enjoyment out of them!!!! but i still like Somewhere in time better :) lol

HondoII 12-18-2003 10:56 AM

BNW is one of the best albums ever...

my top 3:
Iron Maiden
NoTB
BNW

(DOD is also kickass

Metallicat 12-18-2003 11:03 AM
I still have yet to see any band do the guitar harmonizing thing better
HondoII 12-18-2003 11:15 AM

*shoots j00 for teh bl45ph3my!*

Thunder Fingers 12-18-2003 11:25 AM

Ah, Iron Maiden are a real lovly album.... Prowler("Walking thru looking oh so pretty, just got to find a way") and Phantom of the opera(I've been looking so long for you now you won't get away from my grasp.) lovley songs... and Running Free! cannot forget!

PS. anybody knows why bruce is screaming "scream for me Hammersmith!" on disc two on LIve AFter death?!

IM RUNNING FREE, YEAH!

HondoII 12-18-2003 12:27 PM

because it was mixed...LAD didnt only consist of Long Beach Arena. It was a whole tour (World Slavery Tour 85')...so since the Long Beach Gig couldnt possibly fill up 2 cd's they added bonus tracks.

I've not listened to IM all the way through, but from what I've heard its more straight up rock than their other stuff. Less deep, songwriting not as strong (IMO) but more raw energy.

From Powerslave.... I bought it for the first 2, knowing them both. After listening to them & Losfer, I thought, its worth it for these 3 alone. I feel it dips a bit in the middle, but the last 2 are awesome, as is the Back in the Village intro.

S'not fair, I've got 5 cds in 2 days, I just can't listen to them all.
