Too many bands scream because its the cool thing to do and ahs to be in every song anymore. I say, screaming is acceptable when it comes from emotion instead of purely planned for a certain part in the song.
|
You know what? Screaming is slowly becoming a less cool thing to do. Funeral For A Friend, Story Of The Year, Boys Night Out, Hawthorne Heights. All these bands use less or even no screaming on their latest albums, and focus more on melodies and harmonies.

Schoolyard Heroes- Girl vocals, songs about b-movies, the occasional screaming thing.

yeah even thrice is calming down with theirs. and i love thier new album |
Exactly. I think more bands are realized that screaming is such a poor effect to put in songs now, since you hear it everywhere. I kind of feel bad for bands like Bleeding Through, Aiden and Atreyu who obviously still use it, but they have their fanbases, so whatever.

bands that can keep on screaming:
Atreyu it dies today underoath From First to Last and Anthony Green can do what he wants. he's the man. ps i know theres more screamo bands that are good but those came from the top of my head |
SLAYOR!!!!111ONEONE!!111!! *Roars and wakes some dead people*
I'm not fond of too much screaming. A bit of shouting, now there's something I love :) |
Screaming is in the past for me, i cannot stand bands that consistently scream, if there's screaming in one line in one song or something, i can hack it, but not constantly.
