The Toasters have got a ska thing going. I'd even go as far to call them a ska band.

AIRIC 11-03-2005 09:18 PM

What are you thinking they are not a ska band silly!

Rocket From the Tombs. their stuff is kinda hard to find considering they never released an album during the time they were together, but a compilation of demos, live tracks, and others was released, which i have. they are very good. the band split respectively into the Dead Boys and Pere Ubu, two important bands to the punk scene. Pere Ubu are less known mainly because they are so weird.

All the bands you mentioned there are good. Pere Ubu have a pretty good cult following too.
Someone recommend me something.
Anyone?

AndreTheHyena 11-04-2005 11:37 AM

I would, but judging from your avatar, you're into hardcore, which means that you probably already listen to all the scant hardcore bands I listen to. What else are you into?

RCVA 11-04-2005 11:39 AM

Minutemen?

AndreTheHyena 11-04-2005 11:42 AM

Try Husker Du, the Replacements, Pere Ubu...

RCVA 11-04-2005 11:47 AM

Thanks.

AndreTheHyena 11-04-2005 12:39 PM

Griff, check out Steve Earle, particularly his album The Revolution Starts Now. This could go for you too, Nick. Awesome protest country-rock.

Jessizzle 11-04-2005 07:27 PM
