Ribbed is an amazing CD
It's my favorite nofx album at times, it has so many great songs

albert_bass 05-24-2005 03:42 AM

Ribbed has always been my favorite NOFX album and definately on my top 10 of best punk albums ever.

kieranushurnusmcgee 05-24-2005 04:53 AM

In my opinion, Ribbed is by far the best album they've made.

jonesi1992 05-24-2005 09:18 AM

ribbed is great i agree

Dave*Grohl 05-27-2005 06:49 AM

Erik Sandin isn't the drummers real name, i dont remember what it is but it aint Erik Sandin

Gnarmageddon 05-27-2005 07:00 AM

He's been called a lot of things. You might be thinking of Erik Ghint, which is what they called him for a while. His real name is Sandin though. Check the official site.

jonesi1992 05-28-2005 07:20 AM

Twat_Out_Of_Hell 05-28-2005 03:16 PM

4 from each album (not doing the earlier albums):

Ribbed: Green Corn, Moron Bros, shower days, el lay

White Trash: Stickin In My Eye, bob, liza and louise, please play this song on the radio

Punk in drublic: linoleum, leave it alone, jeff wears birkenstocks, happy guy

SLATFATS: 180 degrees, all outta angst, desperations gone, monosyllabic girl

Heavy Petting Zoo: Hobophobic, Philthy Phil, hot Dog in the hallway, What's the matter with kids today

Pump up the valuum: dinosaurs will die, take two placebos and call me lame, pharmacist's daughter, theme froma nofx album

WOE: seperation of church and skate, franco un-american, idiots are taking over, irrationality of rationality

some of those were impossible...

Rancid Dan 05-28-2005 03:17 PM

Omg no to all except the first. Sorry Dan but it's my opinion. Whatever didi wants is an horrible song imo and I love take 2 plaecbos.

Rancid Dan 05-29-2005 03:33 AM

Ha, WDW is one of my favourite NOFX songs...

Whatever didi wants is a horrible song compared to what they can do, and take two placebos is amazing, easily one of their best especially off that cd IMO
Its people like that give people that listen to punk a bad name. They know nothing about the genre and pretend to be the shit with their dk avatars even though they have never actually listened to dk before. Nice one chump.
RazorsInTheNight 06-05-2005 06:43 PM

Rush--WorkingMan 06-08-2005 03:10 PM

NOFX is a great pop-punk band. They are one of the three pop-punk bands i like (the others The Bouncing Souls, and old Blink-182). Their Greatist hits album is great (its called Greatest Hits: By Us) Listen to The Seperation of Church & Skate is a great song.

what'd he do there?

Gnarmageddon 08-13-2005 03:54 PM

Hey, I remember this thread! :D
what'd he do there?
Read the lyrics and you'll see. And don't bump old threads unlesss you have something important to say.

Gnarmageddon 09-28-2005 03:21 PM

Ok, so I'm bumping this thread. NOFX is an important band in pop punk, and we should have a place to discuss them.

I listened to Liberal Animation the other day. It's an ace album.

/lame attempt that will probably fail. :upset:

chumpradio 09-28-2005 03:25 PM

I always love listening to Theme From A NOFX Album, it always makes me smirk.
And August 8th is a great song, I was digging that quite a bit over the Summer.

Bumping this is a good idea. Are you going to rename it or anything?

so... i like nofx. Are they going to make a new album? I hope the greatest hits doesn't mean they will stop writing...

August 8th is such a good song. I celebrated it over the summer by sitting around all day and doing nothing.

I dunno, I might fix the capitalization.

Hey, I had good reason behind the bumping.

They released the 7"s of the month recently. I don't know if they'll be coming out with another album anytime soon. I think they might be compiling all of the songs from the 7"s into a CD sooner or later.
