Well, they did make it pretty well as a band, and I actually think that doing solo careers may have hurt them a bit more.
They did become huge, that's why we have people like guitarguy, Livewired, and xxxRoCkJuNkiExxx talking about them, and there would probably have been a whole lot more of those people had the of just remained a band. |
I love the White Album...Happiness Is A Warm Gun is an underrated song
|
I love the white album. It has a good mix of different sounds, lyrics, and styles. |
Alright, I want to talk about the music gods known as the beatles. I say we jsut ignore this guy because he's not responding to logic anymore.
He wasn't to begin with, that why he is on my ignore list.
The White album is terribly underrated I say.
I dunno about that, That was the first album I got, And I got it for a reason. |
Alright, I want to talk about the music gods known as the beatles.
The White album is terribly underrated I say.
First off, just because they were big, doesn't make them good musicians. I was in a group lesson, and they forced us to learn a Beatles song. I had it nailed the first time through. I had only been playing for about six months too. Secondly, I have to disagree about the White Album being underrated. That and Abby Road of whatever it's called are the only albums that I ever hear people talking about. |
The first album I ever bought was Sgt. Pepper, and it's still my favorite album from any band. Every song on it just seems to flow naturally into the next, an effect that has been all but lost in more recent albums.
|
Guys, just stop arguing. If you have different opinions, alright. Leave it alone.
If the arguing continues, the thread will be closed. |

I love A Day In The Life. I Love all of ther albums, but Revoler is definetly my favorite. The rest are tied for second. |

Revolver was great, no doubt about it. It was the beginning of the transformation from pop band to revolutionary artists for the Beatles. |
I asked him to leave multiple times.
And here I already said that I don't listen to people who have opinions like his. |
I dont like the Beatles just because they were big. I like them because of their music. John Lennon had a unique voice and they had varied musical styles throughout their reign.

If you continue arguing just so this thread is closed, I'll ban you. Just let it be everyone. It's not a big deal. |
What is he rambling about now?

Same here. It actaully took me a while to get into the beates. Strawberry fields is what got me hooked. |

Just let it be everyone. It's not a big deal.
Understood. However, bare in mind here that I am also arguing because people have been trying to talk **** about me, which BTW has absolutly nothing to do with any topic at hand here. I am also arguing to defend myself here, and you can't blame me for that. You find me a person that would argue to defend themself and I will pay you very handsomly. |
I've had 4 beatles songs stuck in my head in the last 24 hours :(. A hard day's night, Back in the USSR, With a little help from my friends and Love me do.
Darn the catchiness :( |
Understood. However, bare in mind here that I am also arguing because people have been trying to talk **** about me, which BTW has absolutly nothing to do with any topic at hand here. I know, that's why I didn't try to put blame on only you. I understand that you're not the only one. Just let it go everyone. Take it on AIM/MSN/whatever if you want to further "discuss" your views on the Beatles, just as long as it's not an argument on the forum. |
I'm not sure why but I cant stop listening to the Kansas City/Hey Hey Hey Hey medley....who does lead vocals for that? I forget...
|

they incorprated many different instruments into their music.
|
were they the first to experiment with tape loops to create different sounds? Im pretty sure they were the first to use backwards guitar
|

I wouldn't doubt it. |
were they the first to experiment with tape loops to create different sounds? Im pretty sure they were the first to use backwards guitar
they were the first to use tape loops, i think it was on sgt peppers. anyways, i dont know about you guys but i loved how they managed to bring in so many new instruments to give their songs a richer quality (sitar, mellotron...). I think my two favorite albums are white album and abbey road but i still think nothing compares to the second side of abbey road ("here comes the sun" through "the end")...just brilliant |
No, its the other 3 that made the beatles, Ringo have very little input into the band. The first song he wrote was Don't Pass Me By off of the White Album.
Didn't he write Yellow Submarine? |
Expressing your personal opinion does not make a person a so-called "Rebel".
And you say I should go "where some one cares"... obviously you care about my opinion considering you're trying like all hell to demolish it.
If you have nothing to add, kindly leave my thread. edit: didn't see the mods comments. So, i'll just let it all go. dont wanna see the thread closed. As for the backwards guitar, yeah, the Beatles did it first with I'm Only Sleeping. Then Hendrix did it on crack by like, recording it backwards, learning how to play it backwards, recording that, and playing that backwards. weird stuff. |
Didn't he write Yellow Submarine?
He sung it but didn't write it. I could be wrong though |
Too lazy to grab my copy of Revolver to find out. I'll check it out later.
