Hm, good point.

I don't hate that others dig it, my drummer's big on Charlotte, Simple Plan, etc., but I just never got into it
Yeah, I only liked GC for about ten seconds before "They're rich and famous..and complaining about rich and famous people..." sprung into my head. I still tolerate some Simple Plan though.

Yeah

Hold On was a tolerable song, as was The Anthem and the one that played on Undergrads, I think it was called The Click? I just find it funny that they're the big punkers yet they get more media attention than today's pop stars... it's kinda funny

If you're ashamed of something you listened to way back when, the only thing you can do to rectify it is to stop regretting things or just stop listening to trendy stuff that changes every year......

I don't regret a thing I listened to, because it all had its place in my life.

FlamingCouch 08-01-2004 01:21 AM

good point

being a guy though, to listen to take that and think they were rad, is a little embarassing, but like I said it was catchy stuff so whatever

Funny thing is, I'm sure you'll change eventually and call whatever you change to "the good stuff." It's crazy how things work like that :)

janyeno 08-01-2004 01:38 AM

I used to listen to busta rhymes and michael jackson :(

I liked michael jackson during his days with lisa marie... then a friend of mine beat some sense into me... I was only like 9 :(

iamme4906 08-01-2004 02:16 AM

Indeed, if we could still view these forums when we're 20, I'm sure we'd laugh our asses off at our old tastes in music. :thumb:

I kinda hope I don't, because that'd probably mean I'm becoming narrow-minded again...I really like what I've become when it comes to music. Ya know, everything from The Roots/Jurassic 5 to Kansas to Paganini to Demons and Wizards to the Mars Volta. I can't seem to get enough music anymore

Detuned0 08-01-2004 03:14 AM

Savage Garden. I still like one of their songs though.

Merkaba 08-01-2004 03:18 AM

I dont regret anything in life.
Life is divine, to regret means there is some divine understanding that has not been found.

Yeah, I get what ya mean. But I think there'll be some bands I look back at and just go "wow... I listened to that?!" Maybe I won't have the same views on Anti-Flag, or even Blink when I'm older, y'know? All the stuff about humping dogs and all

as_seen_on_tv 08-01-2004 12:28 PM

Linkin Park,Blink 182,and Sum 41.

SomethingUnSacryd 08-01-2004 12:32 PM

Though I don't regret listening to them, I admit I used to like Slipknot and Marylin Manson ...I turned my back on slipknot up until I heard the song Duality which I will now openly admit I like. As I said I don't regret listening to them because it kind of shows me how I progressively started to like more diverse music. Now I like everything from Mushroomhead, Opeth, Thrice, BB King, and even some classical music...music is a great thing indeed!

If you're a guitarist, you shouldn't hate Sum41. They're probably the most technical band in pop music. Some of their stuff it pretty tough.

alcoholocaust 08-01-2004 05:17 PM

My last post was a joke, so I'll be serious this time.

I used to listen to country and 80s pop when I was 4.

Am I the only one that hated Hansen?

GorbAcheV 08-01-2004 05:34 PM

I had Limp Bizket, Linkin Park, and Sum 41. But I sold all of those CDs long ago.... Thank God.
