http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v442/MXPhotoAlbum/307.jpg
Does anybody even manage the photo album anymore?

And can anyone AIM-send me some Opeth albums? The YSI thread is moving pretty slow tonight.

Thor 07-09-2005 09:11 PM

YDload, is that Bruce Campbell in your avatar?
YDload, is that Bruce Campbell in your avatar?
I don't know.

Endless Obsession 07-09-2005 09:17 PM

Everyone go check out my new thread, awesome band.

MBS 07-09-2005 09:21 PM

Well, I feel great right now.

Girlfriend just broke up with me.

Dr. Jake Destructo 07-09-2005 09:22 PM

Ok, I don't mind you guys whoring your threads, but you could at least include a link!

I'm off for a while. Perhaps I'll play some guitar or try to drain a couple pounds of fluid from my cheeks. :D

Illmatic 07-09-2005 09:26 PM

MYR: Sorry to hear about that, man.

There.

MBS 07-09-2005 09:34 PM
MYR: Sorry to hear about that, man.
It wasn't much of a suprise, throught the whole phone conversation, she just sounded kind of solemn and sad, and then when she said.. "this isn't working out"

I knew the proverbial shit had hit the proverbial fan.

Illmatic 07-09-2005 09:34 PM

Was there any reason? Or was it just that you two didn't work together?

magicbus 07-09-2005 09:38 PM

Sorry MYR, that sounds like it sucks.

Dr. Jake Destructo 07-09-2005 09:40 PM

Ew. Phone breakup. Sorry to hear about that...Those are the worst. I can empathize with you on that one. :-/ How long had you guys been together for?

Steerpike- Thanks! :)

MBS 07-09-2005 09:41 PM
Was there any reason? Or was it just that you two didn't work together?
Her mom was kind of a control freak and she didn't get to do much, so I guess it was that we didn't see each other quite often.

She just sent me a message through myspace saying that i deserve someone who has time for me. She's being hard on herself.

Edit: Tomorrow would have been 2 months.

Illmatic 07-09-2005 09:42 PM

Ohhh. So I see. Yeah, that's pretty rough.

MBS 07-09-2005 09:49 PM

Yeah, but for now Mister Bob Dylan and Mister Neil Young are helping me .

NP: Tangled Up In Blue - Bob Dylan

Weirdly enough, my shuffle knew how I felt. The 3rd song I listened to was "Only Love Can Break Your Heart" by Neil Young.
ATTN: COMMUNITY THREAD!

Ray has devised a show (as some of you know) that triggers the idea that this thread is a 70s cop sort of show. Everyone in this thread has a part in the show (at least the regulars). Here is the cast.. we have yet to figure out the title of the show, and cast members names.

Ray (Illmatic): Streetsmart black cop, main character
Madey (madeyadams): Cop who goes undercover as a hooker and carries a .38 in an ankle holster
Jake (Dr. Jake Destructo): Loveable loser cop
Jelle (Superpeer): Police captian
Chris (ArrestThisMan): Funny cop
Lucas (Cain): Smart/logical cop who everyone agrees with
Bartender: Police commissioner, talks to Jelle on the phone, but never really makes appearances
Jayson (BoboDaRagingHobo): Local arms dealer and vigilante
Alex (Steerpike): Bart's attorney
Aaron (magicbus): Generic cop that everyone likes
DM (Pete): Irish cop
Joe (88_fingers_joe): cop fresh from Britian who has no idea how to work in a gritty American city
Leah (Taste_My_Scythe): Office secretary
CemetaryGates and Trilemma: main bad guys.

This will be a hit show. Ray is thinking of recording a theme song in the near future. We will come up names ASAP.. if you have any ideas, post those too.
and MYR is not part of this...why?

..Can't I be the guy who just tells a random joke every so often?

Edit: magicbus, your name is Aaron too? Sweet.

Dr. Jake Destructo 07-09-2005 10:07 PM

Dammit I told you I didn't wanna be the loser cop!!! :fistshake:

Not complaining or anything, but I was just wondering what made me seem like the attorney type? My cynicism?

Big . Especially at Joe's! And Leah's is hysterical.

Trilemma should be a police captain who's a dick to everyone on the force and who does his best to not investigate the crimes that don't pique his interest or advance his own position.

Matter of fact, has anybody seen S.W.A.T.? Because Trilemma is TOTALLY the dick police captain in that movie.

Steerpike: You could have a lot of fun with that role.

Illmatic 07-09-2005 10:11 PM
Not complaining or anything, but I was just wondering what made me seem like the attorney type? My cynicism?
You just didn't strike me as being a cop. You're pretty cynical and have a dark sense of humor, so a smartass attorney would work.
Trilemma should be a police captain who's a dick to everyone on the force and who does his best to not investigate the crimes that don't pique his interest or advance his own position.
He could be the former captain who betrayed someone on the force and got kicked off, so now he spends the rest of his life trying to get back at the force. Or something.

Dr. Jake Destructo 07-09-2005 10:12 PM

I asked her the same thing Alex. :p

I like how everyone's first name is there, and then it's just Bartender. hehe

NP: Tool- The Grudge

Ray- That would be plexiglass.

AIM chat anyone? You know the name. :thumb:

Steerpike 07-09-2005 10:16 PM
Pretty much. You're very lawyer-ish. You also put up good arguments.
Makes sense.
Steerpike: You could have a lot of fun with that role.
I know. I already mentioned the picture of me in a 3-piece suit immediately invokes thoughts of the famous quote, "No 007, I expect you to die."

I still like the idea you came up with in the Songs to Play for a Girl thread about the two of us being radio psychiatrists and musicians. Kind of reminds me of that Family Guy joke where Peter said he wanted to have his own sitcom where he played a retired umpire who owns a bar... at the center of the Earth.

Jom 07-09-2005 10:18 PM

I'm glad things here are back to "normal" again, heh. I hope Ali comes back, though :-\

As for your guys's show: is this going to be a spin-off of sorts to the old MX Episodes threads? If so, huzzah.

/nostalgia

Dr. Jake Destructo 07-09-2005 10:19 PM

Wait, shouldn't Trillema be the police captain of a different juridiction, but then every once in a while, he comes in to our office, eats our donuts, and belittles us? (Oh, and beats Ray with his nightstick)

Illmatic 07-09-2005 10:19 PM

What are the MX Episodes? I know the name but I don't think I ever checked it out.

Yeah, I feel bad about that. I was just so angry. I did, however, take his advice and took it to AIM. By then of course it was already too late. :-/

I have no nostalgia for the episodes. Matter of fact, AH, have you been a user before Aug 2004?

I wouldn't think so, but you seem to know a lot of MX History.

EDIT: Can Jim be the chief justice of the local court?

Steerpike 07-09-2005 10:20 PM

Illmatic 07-09-2005 10:23 PM

DBJ? That would work, actually  and mx could be the mayor of the city.

HOLY ****.   That is THE funniest thing I have read this week.

He'd turn into Cleveland on the spot. :)

"Check this out, guys, it's my new police van! It automatically apprehends perps!"
Peter: "Can I try? Oh goody!"
"YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO REMAIN SILENT."
/is handcuffed.
"Wow that's great!"
Cleveland: "Let me try."
"No Cleveland!"
"Nooo! Don't do it!"
"WARNING: DANGEROUS SUSPECT!"
/Cleveland is beaten with nightsticks
"WARNING: HE HAS A GUN"
/gun is placed next to him by the machine

EDIT: No, I meant Jom. Sorry. He always wants everything to remain at a just, law-abiding equilibrium in this thread. He'd be a perfect chief justice. :)

Jom 07-09-2005 10:25 PM
What are the MX Episodes? I know the name but I don't think I ever checked it out.
Check out blackink's sticky in The Pit, "MX History." They're linked there.

EDIT: I really would appreciate it if I wasn't part of these episodes, thanks.

Fine, you evil, non-community-participating party pooper.

MBS 07-09-2005 10:31 PM

you can find them at jimmybowels site:

But they'd be better in the MX history.

hahaha Magicbus and I are the "A" team.

Moses 07-09-2005 10:32 PM

I'd take his spot but it doesn't really fit me........

/feels left out but understands because he doesn't go in the community thread that much

Steerpike 07-09-2005 10:36 PM

I'm trying to picture myself as an attorney...

Long hair, seldom tied back, with full goatee... shades... black and red three-piece suit... probably a lapel pin of some kind of occult symbol, aluminum briefcase, a ring to match the lapel pin...

I'm starting to think that my nickname at the precinct would be Old Scratch.

Kinda like super troopers?

PinkFreud 07-09-2005 10:43 PM

It's the 70's, so you'd have one of those goofy 70's haircuts. Or a ponytail.
