Yeah, that would actually work really well. Even just a mash up of those two albums would be pretty interesting. |
Diggage:
The Perceptionists - Black Dialogue (probably best thing Def Jux have put out, so good) The Marked Men - Fix My Brain (simple works people, it works) Calexico - Garden Ruin Beehive & the Barracudas - Featuring the Insects |
Devendra Banhart - Cripple Crow
One of those albums that's great because it's so huge. |

The Wildhearts - P.H.U.Q.- I thought this album was boring when I first bought it, but two years of ignoring it have really thrown it up in my estimation. The group vocals are great.
I never understood why all kinds of critics said it was/is their best work. Thought it was more mature than Earth vs., I suppose. I thought it was kind of disappointing when I first got it too, I think, though I love it now, naturally. Not paying too much attention to it on my first couple of listens did mean I had the pleasure of being blindsided by Naivety Play one morning walking into school, though. |
Turns out I didn't get to see Whirlwind Heat, as I couldn't get a ride. Damn.
I'm diggin' massive doses of Scratch Acid. |
I'm digging Red Hot Chili Peppers at the moment, more than ever..
Well, I've been digging them ever since I got into them, about 4 years ago and today I bought Stadium Arcadium, the new release, double disc.. absolutely amazing. I've just read the review for it on Sputnik and it really is great, its a must-have! |
Listening to a couple of leaks today...
The Walkmen - A Hundred Miles Off Scott Walker - The Drift |
What did you think of the new Walkmen?
|
Daniel Johnston - Hi,How Are You
|
Rufus Wainwright - S/T
Beautiful. |
What did you think of the new Walkmen?
Yea, I'm not sure if I should download it. |
Today I'm continuing my hip hop listening spree:
Method Man & Redman - Blackout! Cypress Hill - Cypress Hill Smif N Wessun - Still Shinin' |

It is amazing beyond believe. I'd heard 'Cheka' and 'Cereal Killer' but the rest of them are amazing as well. I don't think there's a bad song on here. Redman is so underrated it's untrue. |
Just a bit of Drive-By Truckers' The Dirty South while driving to and from work.
"Danko/Manuel" is an awesome tune. |
Going to sleep last night I dug:
Husker Du - Zen Arcade The Beatles - White Album |
EPMD - Business As Usual
Eazy E - Eternal E Doesn't get much more gangsta than this. |
I just bought Automatic for the People. Simply amazing.
|
I think that Suicide album is pretty unlistenable. And not all that intriguing elsewise.
I have been listening to Exile in Guyville a lot since my last post about it. |
No big album playing lately, just various songs by:
Rwake Camera Obscura Super Mario 3 soundtrack Rasputina QOTSA Clutch several Mike Patton bands string quartet tribute to Slayer Jesu Wilco mmmhmm. |
Herbie Hancock - Chameleon
Estradasphere - The transformation Frank Zappa - Peaches en Regalia Songs that I'm learning for my school's battle of the bands on thursday. |
Flaming Lips - Oh My Gawd....The Flaming Lips
By far and away their most underappreciated album. The first half of the album is some of the best material they have ever released. |
Common the past few days. Be is sooooo gooooood. Oh, and Murs.
|
I used to think Suicide was crap, now I like it.
:shrugs: |
