i was thinkin you'd make a better post than that, n00b
i don't know if you're familiar with forums, but here that's called spam. not many people like spam. people like thought out posts. just lettin ya know. and welcome! |
Yah it was definitly better that Mustaine left. I mean, i have nothing against him, but as has been stated before: After he left Metallica made so many great songs, with so many memorable Kirk solos.
And another important thing is that if Dave never left, there would be no Megadeth, so i think that it was overall better for the metal world for him to leave. Im not saying every band should kick out a good member so he can form another good band. Im just saying that it was lucky that Mustaine was so succesfull after his short and sweet run with Metallica. |

I think mustaine and the guys should hook up one more time for one more album....I think that would be kick ***!
Lineup: James Hetfeild-Rhythm Guitar And Vocals Kirk Hammett-Lead Guitar Dave Mustaine-Lead Guitar And Vocals Lars Ulrich-Drums Rob T.-Bass that would be a kick *** album if they went back to the 80s style! |

agreed. megadeth is awesome too
are or arent? |
There would still be Fade To Black, Burton wrote that song after the band's equiptment was stolen, Kirk wrote the solos.
Mustaine is far superior, in my opinion, not because of the technical skill compared to the two, but what Mustaine has done with himself. Completely self-taught, he could be a role model to anyone. He has had some of the best musicians by his side. Think about it, Dave Ellefson, Nick Menza, Marty Friedman (Or Chris Poland). I agree he's a bit of an emo bitch sometimes, but when he's not, he's seriously deserving of being a role model. Metllica with Mustaine, would be pretty sick. I'm glad they kicked Mustaine out though, Megadeth > *. And, mustaine helped write some of MoP, but doesn't get credit for it. |

HAHA, SKOM 2 is all i can say. |

I really like Metallica's old music, the new stuff is not nearly as good. It seems that they are selling out, in my opinion. I hated it when Avril sang "Fuel" she messed it up badly. |

in some respect I agree...but I think dave would be laid back more than lars and james. I think dave would be more like kirk(if he doesnt get drunk  )I but the real prize would be the outcome of the recording. SICK! |
are or arent?
what are you talking about?
There would still be Fade To Black, Burton wrote that song after the band's equiptment was stolen, Kirk wrote the solos.
na, james wrote that song. |

NP: Metallica-The Shortest straw |
personaly I would rather listen to KEA and RTL over MOP anyday. mustaine or no mustaine.
Amen personally i dont think MOP was their best album, it was great none the less but there are albums i like better such as RTL and ..AJFA Master of puppets had a couple great songs such as Battery, Sanitarium, and the title track. I love all the songs on MOP but it just wasnt as solid as the ones i listed above |
Yeah RTL is better than MOP IMO :thumb:
|
myself ive love every album before the black album equally as much as the other
|
I listen to MOP most. I don't know why, but I just do. RTL and ..AJFA are awesome too
|
I like AJFA the most. That means more than MoP, RTL, and KEL. :thumb:
I also think AJFA self titled track is great. Which album do you guys think have the best album-titled track? RTL, AJFA, MOP, etc... I'd go with AJFA. Too good to pick those others but RTL would be my second pick. |
I think Master of Puppets is usually peoples first Metallica album that they listen to so it holds a special place for them. It was my first Metal albums after Arise by Sepultura. It's a solid album, but I still prefer Kill 'Em All, Ride the Lightning and Justice.

i picked up RTL first, and i loved every second of it |

ANGER YAYY!! umm no id actually have to go with AJFA, followed by MOP because of the solo :D (got tired of the rest of it from overly listening to it :P) |
Has anyone else notices how astonishingly easy James Hetfield sings almost ever note in Fade to Black with a vibrato feel to it? Almost like its computer edited. I've been brought up to know that its extremely hard to do that, James has talent no doubt.
|
Yes, I think james is the most talented of all 4 of them. He writes lyrics, riffs, some solos, etc.
|
I agree with you both, but we havent really go to see much of James talent, i wonder why kirk didnt let james do a main solo in some of their songs back in the 80's, im sure he could have easily pulled it off
|

We see James' talent whenever he plays rhythm. |
We see James' talent whenever he plays rhythm.
That and he does solos as well. Master of puppets, nothing else matters, etc... |
That and he does solos as well. Master of puppets, nothing else matters, etc...
A couple yeah, but James as a lead guitarist isn't particularly special, his skill lies in rhythm. |
Yes, I think james is the most talented of all 4 of them.
So do I. |
I think mustaine and the guys should hook up one more time for one more album....I think that would be kick ***!

Dave Mustaine refered to Some Kinda Monster as "some kinda bullshit".
|
Yes, I think james is the most talented of all 4 of them. He writes lyrics, riffs, some solos, etc.
James can sing, play drums, play guitar, and sing while playing guitar (which I find to be pretty hard). He is very talented, but im not going to say hes more talented than the other members. I think Lars and Kirk can do things on their instruments that James can't. |
that would be sooooooooo cool. it's exactly what i was thinking.
Dave Mustaine has actually made amends for the bullshit he kept saying about them in the early 80s, but I don't think he approves of the movie, as metal guitar pointed out. I don't think he is fond of Metallica's commercialism and the band definately wouldn't be like that had he stayed. |
Yes, I think james is the most talented of all 4 of them. He writes lyrics, riffs, some solos, etc.
Cliff was the most talented, but he died. the stuff he wrote it's awesome and no matter how simple it was, still sound awesome.example:for whom the bell tolls |
I know this is a little off topic, but does anyone know what the guitar is that Kirk used on the 'I Disappear' video?
|
I think it was his spider one...but im not sure.
|
I think it was his spider one...but im not sure.
it wasn't, it is green with a worn finish and is the shape of the KH-2/strat. |
