Thanks. I was wondering about that.
Anyways, I just found out this: -Eric Clapton has personally confirmed that the reunion is on - 4 shows in May at the Royal Albert Hall. "Eric Clapton made the announcement on BBC Radio 2's Johnnie Walker show. The shows will be recorded. Eric also said that tickets will go on sale soon."- I wish I could go... |
I'm 62.7% it was last names.

Didn't say. But I'm guessing is both.
|
Fun fact:
My friend's middle name is Floyd, named after Pink Floyd |
I'm 62.7% it was last names.
Im %100 they were first names. |
Not great in my book either.
Van Halen with Roth was a great pop-rock group. Nothing transcendant, but they sure knew how to write a tune. |
Quick question...
How did Pink Floyd got their name?
Pink Anderson and Floyd Council. I missed 20000. :upset: |
I like Van Halen.
|
I like Van Halen.

I like Van Halen.

I dont.
|
I like Van Halen.
Today I got Highway 61 Revisited and Hot Tuna-Extended Versions: The Encore Collections (recorded live). |
Hot Tuna rocks!
|
What was Hot Tuna's most famous song? I know I've heard it, but I can't remember it.
|
Pink Anderson and Floyd Council.
I missed 20000. :upset:
Gah! I knew that! I hoped nobody said the names yet. PS. I got the Classic Albums DSOTM movie today. |
What do you guys think of the Tragically Hip?
|
What was Hot Tuna's most famous song? I know I've heard it, but I can't remember it.
I didn't know they had a famous song. Badmoon might know though, and yes they do rock. Funky #7 is one kickass song. |
What do you guys think of the Tragically Hip?
I think they're awesome. They're simply just a great band. |
Today I got Highway 61 Revisited
About damn time. |
About damn time.
I know :( And I don't think I've heard much from The Tragically Hip. |
Who sings for the Dire Straits?
|
Some cool guy.
EDIT: Mark Knopfler! I thought he just played guitar but he does both! |
Ohh, I also thought he just played guitar. He sounds like Bob Dylan.
So, I'll be posting to more samples in a few minutes, Everyone like the David Grisman one? |
Knopfler is an amazing guitarist.
|

Sultans of Swing is such a good song
|
Okay, here are two of my favorite songs off of Phil Lesh & Friends' There & Back Again.
The album features --------------------- Phil Lesh - Bass* Warren Haynes - Guitar* Jimmy Herring - Guitar* Rob Barraco - Keyboard* John Molo - Drums * = Current members of The Dead. Liberty http://s15.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=21Z5UWVGU2ELQ2CWWTFEU9DLV7 "Liberty" was written by Jerry Garcia and Robert Hunter a short time before Garcia's death. Each guitarist plays various lead lines. I also believe Barraco takes the lead vocals. Patchwork Quilt http://s15.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=0O4ACF23LZVNF3HZ6550FOTXS6 "Patchwork Quilt" is written and sung by Warren Haynes. The song is about Jerry Garcia. Take a listen to the lyrics, they are extremely interesting. |
This is like a classic rock/jam thread now.
Which is a good thing :) |
Check out the guitar playing. Warren and Jimmy both use practically the same tone, but other than the tone being fantastic, the guitar playing is fabulous.
|
Patchwork Quilt is much better than Liberty. Liberty reminded me of Paul McCartney's Freedom.
|
Nah, "Liberty" never gets old and is happy. "Patchwork Quilt" is sad. So, happy > sad.
:) |
"There's a banjo moon in a tie-dye sky"
For some reason that line made chuckle. And Patchwork Quilt is a lot better than Liberty. |

:)
Nice edit. I'm too fast for you. :p |
Thanks :)
Reason: Woodstock's a dick
 Now, now children. |
I was watching the Simpsons and Homer and Abe were smugling prescription drugs from Canada and they started playing Whitte Rabbit. Then they started Floating around and prescription drug warnings were flying passed them. I laughed.

Haha, that's great. So, does everyone like the new CD review site? |
I personally don't care for it.
