She'll live as long as anyone else, she just has to deal with periods of pain and the occasional hospital visit. Lately she's been going back way more than usual. December was her first time back in the hospital in years.

What was it about?

Nevermind...it was on a local music scene forum and there's a 2-day battle of the bands thing going on during Labor Day Weekend and we were put on it, and the guy put us on a date where all screamo and punk bands were playing, and we said we'd like to play the other day since all our friends (Surdin, Day I Dread, Gathered Here Today, Teenage Rehab etc) are playing that day and we'd feel more at home. So he said "ok" and switched us with a punk band. But since he switched us, we had to OPEN the show at 10:00 AM (We would have played at 1:40 PM the other day)... Not good. I wasn't cool with that decision, so I said

It's not, really, I think some people just assume that because they don't sense that their race has any bearing on who they are you shouldn't either, and when you behave like you do it annoys them. Mos def. It can have some very severe effects, but nothing that modern medicine can't handle. It's nice to know I don't have to worry about her dying everytime she collapses.

I just called her and she sounded fine. Weak from the morphine, but fine. The only problem was that she had an incision on her stomach and it hurt her to cough or laugh, and I just happened to be extra funny tonight.
