Yeah I oughta check out when they are coming to WA. I saw them in like 9th grade at a really ****ty venue, but it was great. I love concerts where you know and recognize every song they play.

At that show, I danced with a drunk indian(native amerian) guy. Good times

Crapdragoon 10-21-2004 10:12 PM

hahah :thumb:

coddingtown 10-21-2004 10:13 PM

Honestly, ive never even heard them. :o

iceman3019 10-21-2004 10:19 PM

muse is a great band, my boss at work is a huge fan of them and they have a great bassist . . . check songs like hysteria and abosolution :thumb: . . .

Wintermute 10-21-2004 10:22 PM

Sunburn is one of my favourites.

Yeah I got into them for their bassist. I downloaded a bunch of their stuff, no cd yet. My favorite song is probably "muscle museum" or "yes please". I have both that you mentioned though, they are good. Im going to get a CD of theirs. What one do you reccomend?

Wintermute 10-21-2004 10:23 PM
So you are gonna pull an all nighter? I hate doing that, I feel so useless for about 2 or 3 days afterwards.

:amaze:
I recover in a day, if I sleep well. And as tomorrow is saturday, I can sleep very well.

Crapdragoon 10-21-2004 10:25 PM

to be honest, i don't have any cd's myself . . . my boss just has a shitload of mp3's and plays them a lot at work, but he said the cd "abosolution" isn't too bad . . .

Crapdragoon 10-21-2004 10:27 PM

Im not sure on album titles, but the song "muscle museum" is an amazing song. The bass in "yes please" is way cool too, you gotta check those two out

Crapdragoon 10-21-2004 10:32 PM

nah cause you aint sellin

coddingtown 10-21-2004 10:33 PM

Yeah thats what I thought

iceman3019 10-21-2004 10:33 PM

i'm pretty sure burning cd's for yourself (i.e. making spare copies) is perfectly fine, but to distribute them is illegal . . .

Espbassor 10-21-2004 10:35 PM

As long as you own legal copies of the songs (ie from the actual cds and other ways of purchasing songs) you can do whatever you want with them, so long as you don't distribute them :thumb:

coddingtown 10-21-2004 10:36 PM

Oh well. I will be a martyr I guess... You know... we should have a thread that you can post a couple of bands who you listen to, but they arent quite a household name, such as muse. Thats how I got into them was from this site. To make it bass related I guess we can have it be bands that you like that have cool bass(again, not like primus or nirvana or big names like that). The indie forum has a thread like that and I think its a pretty cool idea, although Im sure its been done

iceman3019 10-21-2004 10:38 PM

yea, i learned about dream theater from this forum, because everyone was like "man, john myung is the fastest player alive," and i also learned about mudvayne from this site even though i don't like them very much, i still respect ryan martinie . . .

coddingtown 10-21-2004 10:44 PM

Same here (about everything you just said)

coddingtown 10-21-2004 10:45 PM

So what do you think about a thread like that?

Crapdragoon 10-21-2004 10:45 PM

why is it theater, and not theatre

coddingtown 10-21-2004 10:46 PM

Because spelling it like theatre is for losers. Just like spelling town like towne. Ugh...

:)

Crapdragoon 10-21-2004 10:47 PM
So what do you think about a thread like that?
its been done. i think its called "forced listening" or something

Crapdragoon 10-21-2004 10:48 PM
Because spelling it like theatre is for losers. Just like spelling town like towne. Ugh...

but then you can say towny, instead of town

coddingtown 10-21-2004 10:48 PM

Yeah I recall that. I still think Im gonna make one though

iceman3019 10-21-2004 10:48 PM

"theatre" is european/aussie spelling, and dream theater started in america, where "theater" is the common spelling . . . it's like "color" and "colour" . . .

Crapdragoon 10-21-2004 10:51 PM

it is? well its not like theater is an everyday word ;)

coddingtown 10-21-2004 10:52 PM

Crap, do you have two accounts? I just noticed you are crapdragoon

iceman3019 10-21-2004 10:53 PM

it kinda is, "let's go to the movie theater," i mean what else can you say? "let's go to the cinema?" . . .

Crapdragoon 10-21-2004 10:56 PM
