I'm digging the Gin Blossoms.
Which Best Of The Wildhearts?
Sam Cooke - Night Beat This is actually the first Sam Cooke I've really heard, outside of A Change Is Gonna Come. The 13th Floor Elevators - The Psychedelic Sounds Of.. This is alright - has a couple of great songs, even - but that electric jug just makes the same goddamn sound through the background of every single track. And now I'm also listening to some Gin Blossoms. |
Superpeer why are you surprised, they're a great power pop band. "Hey Jealousy" and "Found Out About You" are two of my favorite singles of the 90's.
i like a couple of theirs but i forget the titles. i think "follow you down" and "you lonely people" are by them? |

noticing that "(What a) Wonderful World" is a really good song now that I'm hearing it again, even though I used to dislike it.

glenn tipton is definitely my favorite
my most played song according to last.fm |
So the new Tom Waits box is pretty enjoyable 1 disc in. His cover of Sea of Love is a standout.
Also, he totally played "Lie to Me" when I saw him in July. I'd been wondering what the hell that one was...
Has that actually been released or is that a naughty version?
Prob naughty.
i forgot about this last.fm thing. i dont listen to much music on my computer anymore because my roommate is doing homework most of the time and i dont feel like headphones. i guess this is just whatever was on my ipod walking between classes :(

One of the guys in my band has the Talking Heads Brick, which I was listening to. The remastering sounds fucking excellent. Very clean, punchy and crisp. Pick this up if you're a fan.
Duran Duran - Pop Trash
I spent most of this morning listening to Momus. I'd never heard anything by Momus before but pretty fun stuff, lives up to what I expected. Just some nice lo-fi synth pop.
