You know, I used to seriously doubt the plausibility of anarchy, but you've made such an intelligent case for it that I think I can actually feel my mind changing.

imnotyourcrackwhore 07-12-2004 10:46 PM

But then you gotta think about the future of this country we live in...I wouldn't stand by being apathetic when this election is so important.

This thread is for people who enjoy discussing politics. If you are apathetic and find no interest in politics then don't comment. Simple as that. And FYI, every decision they make effects us even if it is indirectly. Learn to think beyond the end of your nose.

for an incomprehensible pile of jibber jabber, there was one point in there i always forget, but that when i do remember it, it makes me wretch.

in the 9-11 attacks, aproximately 3000 people died. in the atom bombings at the end of WWII, more than 1000 times worse. Not to mention the long lasting effects. new york lost a city block. japan lost two whole cities. give them the first, hiroshima, let's assume for the sake of argument that we "had to" do that to end the war. and then we bombed another city. nobody points to that as an act of terrorism. we killed civilians, children, the elderly, everyone. we destroyed entire cities. we killed 1/6 as many people as the holocaust (if my calculations are correct). but that's not terrorism, that's killing civilians for our just cause.
Bush may be stupid but he stands by what he believes in. Kerry seems to have trouble making up his mind on certain issues. I go with Bush.
yes, but bush is WRONG about these things.

lord, what do they teach kids in school these days

hiding behind a flag DOES NOT make you patriotic
fighting "against terrorism" DOES NOT include bombing innocents
being "firm" on issues DOES NOT make your position right
being "for america" DOES NOT make discrimination okay
having "traditional values" DOES NOT include hate

Neither.

MetalMarineX9 07-12-2004 11:28 PM

We had a recount for the last election. Now we should have a re-apointment of candidates for the presidency for both Republican and Democrat. As is evident, both of the candidates will not do us any good.

imnotyourcrackwhore 07-12-2004 11:28 PM

In reference to Cheeser's comment ^

Well, the patriots of America see it as..."We can never be wrong. We are too great for that." and that is one thing that makes me feel shameful to live here. The pride has gotten to their heads and they are arrogant. America has become too stubborn to admit the wrongs they make. If they would admit the wrongs, it would be a different story.

Vietnow 07-12-2004 11:29 PM

NO WAY MAN. Just gimmie three days I'll have the money then

AARON27 07-13-2004 12:24 AM
Sorta kinda. It all depends on your definition of "warm". Companies like the big three (budweiser, miller, and coors) want you to drink your beer ice cold because when beer is colder, it masks many "off" flavors that are in the beer (like rice and corn, which are used by the three above companies to save money. Those ingredients do not belong in beer.) If you let a beer warm up some, more flavors will come out. Usually the norm is that lighter beers with less alcohol should be served colder, and darker beer with higher alcohol content should be served at warmer temps. Most stouts, porters, and other darker ales should be served around 55 degrees F. This isn't really warm at all, and those styles are quite good that way. Also, cask conditioned ale, which originated in Britain, is served around 55 degrees as well. Many people consider this warm, so they tend to say that about all english/irish/dark beers. What I like to do is keep beer in the fridge, and when I'm ready to drink it I'll set it out at room temp for about ten minutes. This usually brings the temp of the beer up to 40-43 degrees. Then I drink it slowly to see how the flavors change as it goes from the low 40s to the mid 50s in temp.
So there was truth to it, mamma didn't raise no fool.
