CONTROVERSIAL:
I think Load And Reload are Metallicas most interesting material, its good songs, nice melodies, always something to listen to, brilliant, fittingly basslines, bass at an hearable level, james voice is quite good, and just an higher level of quality in the production and the songs than on the other albums. and theres punch in the albums.

and while im at it, Dream theater is a bloody boring band live... and they play for 3 HOURS! I would have fallen asleep... the music(minus the vocals) is good(when they are not constantly Soloing...)...

Deth 12-16-2005 03:06 PM

You bust back in, and you do it with style!

I can see why you think DT is boring, though I would disagree.

Thunder Fingers 12-16-2005 03:15 PM

The scary thing is that.... Steve Harris Also Like Load And Reload more than the others.... :p

serriously, i am much to like that guy...(minus my creativity, there he is on another level than me...)
like:
We Both started Bass at 16.
I have his type of playing style, and it was NOT on purpose...
im Stuborn, unless they have a thing that can realy convince me different, i aint moving..

well... i guess that was the only things... hes 30 years older than me, and im like twice his height :p

im not as like him as i thought...

Lord Abortion 12-16-2005 03:17 PM

Yeah, well, most people are twice Steve's height

Deth 12-16-2005 03:18 PM

How tall is he?

/not twice Steve's height

PepsiMetal 12-16-2005 03:18 PM
I love LaBrie's voice, haven't heard the MOP cover though, he would have to be trying really hard to sound bad if he sounds worse than Hetfield.
He easily destroyed MoP with his vocals. He did a little better on sanitarium, nothing great though.

Load and Reload are great albums, they just aren't really thrash metal. They're more like hard rock. Most people complain because a thrash band released a hard rock album. I'm not a fan of load, but reload does have some great songs like bad seed, slither, poor man's lyric, fuel, memory remains, etc...

I haven't see them live, but I haven't found their music interesting at all. For me their songs just go on and on and never get to the point. Their metallica covers would have been somewhat nice if they didn't do the vocals.

Thunder Fingers 12-16-2005 03:19 PM
Yeah, well, most people are twice Steve's height
exept for everyone else in maiden.... the band is kinda midgets...

And Bruce is a couple of centimetres lower than steve...:p

yeah, that was what i meant, there is usualy like... 2 minutes of "real" music in their songs, and then the rest is Soloing....

crag 12-16-2005 04:17 PM

I agree with DT being boring but they're not that boring

YDload 12-16-2005 05:08 PM

I saw Dream Theater live. They weren't TOO boring but their songs were really fucking long and I got tired of them. LaBrie left the stage during the long instrumental sections of nearly every song and it seems like Portnoy was the real frontman of the band.

temporary 12-17-2005 01:34 PM

Can anyone recomend some songs with Blaze on them? I don't think I've heard a thing from his era of Maiden.

Thunder Fingers 12-17-2005 01:39 PM

Just Buy "the X Factor" Brilliant album.

crag 12-17-2005 02:05 PM
Just Buy "the X Factor" Brilliant album.
yes indeed

or you could get Virtual XI, or better yet, get both:)

Something completely unrelated now Bruce plays teh acoustic

GenuineImitation 12-17-2005 02:55 PM

How many maiden albums are there without bruce in it? I am unfamiliar with pre-Bruce Maiden and want to get into it more.

Thunder Fingers 12-17-2005 03:10 PM

there are 4...
the two first ones("Iron Maiden"(1980) and "Killers"(1981) wich have paul diannio on Vocals.
Nr. 10 "The X Factor"(1995) and 11 "Virtual XI"(1998) Wich Have Blaze Baley on vocals.

GenuineImitation 12-17-2005 03:12 PM

I have been meaning to get "Killers" for some time now, so I'll get that one. Which is better, "Iron Maiden" or "The X Factor"?

Thunder Fingers 12-17-2005 03:14 PM

Oh... thats hard... thats my 2 favourite albums.. i cant realy say wich is the best, but Iron Maiden is an exelent album, wich i think is one of the first albums any maiden fan should get...
