OK, so Led Zeppelin's cover of "Babe I'm Gonna Leave You" was better than Joan Baez's version.
|
Babe I'm gonna Leave You is a beautiful song. I wish I could play arpeggios better. :-/ Oh well, I guess you don't need to play well when you have uber distortion and delay. :D
/nu metal |
Joan Baez's voice is SO FREAKING ANNOYING on that cover...yeah, Robert Plant can be annoying, but on Zeppelin's first two or three albums he had a solid voice.
And yeah, I don't think "Babe, I'm Gonna Leave You" is gonna sound good in drop-D tuning with distortion and delay effects :p |
Lol, i got a stickied thread.
 |

/nu metal
I agree, that's a great song, my band's imminent cover of emerald has given me a big thin lizzy style kick- i have to learn to sing it soon... I have nearly finished putting my music onto the computer, just most of my maiden albums to put on now and a few others NP- dio-rainbow in the dark |

I just have to post this, funniest story I heard today, it happened about half an hour ago at my townhouse complex bbq: Okay, so I'm just eating my burger, (good burger by the way, it was a steak burger) and my parents were talking to our neighbours. My neighbour brought up providence town (which until I've never heard of....I'm canadian DEAL!) and I learned that its considered the "gay capitol of Amierca" and my mom tells a story how 20 years ago, my dad and her and my brother who at the time was just a baby went there to see some old friends. Well, while there my mom had to get my brother some new t-shirts, so my mom's friends and her went to some clothing store and while picking out a shirt, one of the clerks there came up to her and her friends and asked: "Would you like to use the dyke discount?" (right then I almost spat out my coke). I was dying in laughter and well we're jewish so of course my mom replied with: "How much to I get to save?" and she used it. And some other less funny stories included going to a nightclub and my parents and their friends were the only heterosexual people there (DUH) and they got picked on and a dragqueen hit on my dad. Good bbq

The theme song to "COPS" has to be one of the ten best theme songs ever:
Sanford and Son The Jeffersons Good Times The Fresh Prince of Bel Air Pete and Pete COPS The Sopranos The A-Team Hill Street Blues and the old-school, 1970 MNF theme
My neighbour brought up providence town (which until I've never heard of....I'm canadian DEAL!) and I learned that its considered the "gay capitol of Amierca"
You mean Provincetown down on Cape Cod? |

Wow, that really sucks. We used to get free Direct T.V but now we have to pay. |
I have some American channels, the only one i know off though is ABC. American 'comedy' is so poor its unreal.

My family has RCN digital cable.
I have some American channels, the only one i know off though is ABC. American 'comedy' is so poor its unreal.
You're going to base American comedy on "8 Simple Rules" and "According to Jim"? Oh, come on. |
When I started watching it, it was extremely fragmented. I had no clue what was going on at first, but by the end of the show, I was pretty into it.
Also, now that I have sattelite, I have found my self watching at least one episode of ER every day. :p Primetime in the Daytime. |

There was a mini series, cool. I still want to see that movie |
They had a COPS show in my old California hometown. I don't remember all of it, but it was pretty funny.

Yep, six 30 minute episodes. The book is better by far as there is more in them. I really want to see that movie, but I don't know when the Canadian release is..or was as the case may or may not be. |
Madey- Who's humping you in the first pic?
|
OK, watch COPS and do your best Paul Mooney impression.
