Never has a truer word been spoken in the history of everything ever. |
OK also, I noticed you guys jacking off on I Heart Hiroshima, so I just checked them out on myspace and "London In Love" is really good. I want to download this but I can't find them anywhere.
Alternatively, it's up on their website. http://www.ihearthiroshima.com/ Thanks for the reccomendation. There was this crazy sale at JB today and also a bunch of metal cds at Cash Converters, so I spent about 50 bucks and got 10 cds and two dvds (Opeth and Almost Famous). I even bought a second copy of Purple Rain to give to someone. |
Which stuff are you listening to? His new one leaked, not quite as good as I Phantom, but maybe better than the Perceptionists in my opinion.
Me, I've been digging Broadcast. I've always wondered what these people were like. Turns out they're a bit like digital pixie stix.
I Phantom Live From the Plantation is probably my favorite song right now. |

At the Drive-in- all, but especially pattern against user, of course one armed scissor, and invalid litter dept.

Smoosh - She Like Electric (jeez, they were preteens when they recorded this. it's actually pretty good)
|
Just downloaded the Gnarls Barkley album so I will most likely be digging that tomorrow (seeing as I'm going to bed now)
Was annoyed to see NME calling that something like the best soul album of the decade. Not that it isn't (I've not heard it); just annoyed that they'd suddenly decided to know something about soul. Anyway, I've not been listening to much lately. Mostly songs rather than albums, exceptions being a re-dig of Young Heart Attack's Mouthful of Love (still one of my favourite newer rock albums) and Mclusky Do Dallas, which is sounding pretty good on first listen. |
I'm having my first listen of that Gnarls Barkley gear ("Crazy" to be exact) and it's pretty cool.

Beastie Boys - Paul's Boutique
Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds - Murder Ballads Also pixiesfanyo's stuff. It's pretty nice. |
The peeping tom demos and soon to listen to the leaked album.
|
Calexico - Garden Ruin
Red House Painters Jens Lekman Ben Lee |
I've been digging lots of Balinese music, particularly gamelan jégog. Nobody here listens to world music, do you?
|
Hepcat - Scientific
Ska music at its best. |
Strike Anywhere - Change Is a Sound
This is some highly enjoyable stuff. |

I don't listen to much Latin/South American stuff, but I do enjoy different European musics and some Asian music as well. |
