RockAndRoll 11-29-2004 08:46 PM

Argh school annoys me to no end. I'm so tired from it and never have time to practice. Today I slept pretty much the whole of my practicable time. :(
The Epi is $500 and the Fat Strat is $400. I like the range of the Strat, but also the awesomeness of the Les Paul.
thats pretty cheap for a fat strat compared to an epi. i just plain like the tone of epis, and how they play. i have an epi acoustic/electric. its basically just as versatile as an electric. it even has a cutaway for playing on the 15th + frets. its my baby. i prefer acoustic, but there are times when you need electric so its good to have one or five around.

lunch998 11-29-2004 08:48 PM

Awhile ago I was into crappy punk, and some Green Day. I used to be a huge RATM fan, and I still listen to them sometimes.

FreebirdTPM 11-29-2004 08:49 PM

Hey guys this may sound random but I need some good Gov't Mule reccomendations for Cds, which ones should I get to start off my collection? (My mom wants my Xmas List)

That's funny, I was just asking the same thing a few days ago. People that would know recommended either Dose or the Deep End Volume 1. I got Deep End Vol. 1 and really liked it.

i would probably buy a Coldplay or Maroon 5 cd if i saw one for cheap. the new U2 one as well. but ya....i only have about twenty cds, and they are all post 90's music.

we have this one Billy Joel cd that i would always sing to when i was really little. my parents bought me this playskool microphone and stand and it claps if you press a button. i would always put on billy joel shows for them in my living room. man i was a loser.

Good, somebody who prefers acoustic over electric. One or five, I wish.

I listened to Tommy when I was younger, so I am proud of that.

ha ya. i used to have 2 electrics, but i sold one because i really didn't play electric enough to need 2. and i don't wanna buy another acoustic because i am so attached to mine. it comes with me wherever i go in my house, even when i dont intend on playing it. its on my lap right now, i am playing Across The Universe. i love that intro.

Alright thanks, I'll put 'em both ont he list moms paying for them not me :D

thickasabrick 11-29-2004 08:56 PM

which day was hendrix's birthday? was the 27th saturday? i suppose i "celebrated" too, although i didn't realize it was his birthday.

and i borrowed the Let It Be..Naked cd from my guitar teacher. i have never heard the entire Let It Be album, just certain songs here and there. i really liked it though, great collection of songs. isn't it weird how Sgt Peppers was so "psychadelic" and Let It Be is quite the opposite. Maybe it just sounds that way on the Naked album.

Broken Arrow 11-29-2004 09:00 PM

germaine 11-29-2004 09:07 PM

The Beatles were one of the fastest developing band. Sgt. Pepper was really the peak of their success, but Let it Be was a basic look into the breakup of the band. So it makes sense that Let it Be is not as happy and brilliant as Sgt. Pepper.

Here's the picture Woodstock. I also took a picture of my CD's for this one project at school :).

That's a lot of cds!

New avatar.

Badmoon 11-29-2004 10:00 PM

Here's a Badmoon reccomendation from the heart.

The Grateful Dead - Reckoning

It's live, it's all acoustic, and it's very clean. They play many song you rarely hear live. Some being "Cassidy", "Dire Wolf". They also do many covers and traditional tunes. Like "Tom Dooley". It use to be on the site, but that's gone. I'll sample this weekend, or some other time.

mrcalzoon 11-29-2004 10:18 PM
