Nobody can have a decent conversation anymore. It is he who ruins this thread, not I.
Like Hbp said, bitching at Dargon won't solve anything. It never has, and never will. All it does is provide him with entertainment and big lolz which further spurs his rants. I think I speak for a lot of people when I say put him on your ignore list and shut the **** up about it.
becuase you know nothing of death metal
is that true?

how do you know this? what have i said to give you that notion?

is it because i don't listen to "elite" bands that you wont even discuss? so that means i must know absolutely nothing about death metal.

thanks for the link poofy.

Angmar 07-17-2007 12:08 AM

**** you Obituary come to Washington!!!

the2stranger 07-17-2007 05:17 AM

Obituary is becoming the Metallica of death metal.
Been around for so long that they ask insane ammounts for their tickets and their new material can't hold a candle to the old stuff.
(Although it isn't as bad as new Metallica  )

So needless to say I skipped their last performance.
And damn venues need to program some more decent metal bands.

Dargon II 07-17-2007 05:55 AM
Yeah it's really good.
yeah sieg heil those demos

Totenkrieg 07-17-2007 08:01 AM

i listened to the chasm again last night, it was ok but it still seemed like some melodic death metal **** at times

Dargon II 07-17-2007 08:13 AM

How much did they expect for tickets?

the2stranger 07-17-2007 10:05 AM
i listened to the chasm again last night, it was ok but it still seemed like some melodic death metal **** at times
I never liked them, too much random stuff.
If they would focus some more on songwriting instead of 'originality' I might have more respect for their music.
How much did they expect for tickets?
40 euros.
They did have Samael as opener though, but well, they aren't as good as they used to be.
the electronica stuff is shite.

Deth 07-17-2007 10:10 AM

Wow, that is expensive.

If they were a decent price and came to Florida, I would see them.

LifeInABox 07-17-2007 10:11 AM

That is quite expensive. Nowhere near what my friends mom payed for faggy Def Leppard tickets though.

the2stranger 07-17-2007 10:14 AM

If tickets for gigs are over 20 euros, I won't bother going.
Screw the commercialism, I'm there for the music.

odd, their songwriting is what I like about them. It's unconventional but very atmospheric.

the2stranger 07-17-2007 10:29 AM

Unconventional is the right word there, but you're right it has atmopshere.
But still there's something that doesn't make it click with me.

On another note: I blasted Left Hand Path again today, I love the drumming and well, everything about that release.

LegionsofMarduk 07-17-2007 12:22 PM

That'd be about $55 here. I'd definately pass on that show. I'd like to see them, but not for that much money. There aren't too many bands I'd pay that much to see.

rattlehead42147 07-17-2007 12:22 PM

to anyone that cares enough in here to like nevermore, i ran across some links of jeff loomis' demos from his old bands experiment fear, fear tech, and system these are rare from when he was about 16 and 17. enjoy.

Poofy 666 07-17-2007 01:49 PM

Tickets for Obituary are $25 here, but 40 Euros is ridiculous.

Has anyone heard the new Pyrexia?

can i get an honest answer dargon?

Dargon II 07-17-2007 01:57 PM

I read it the first time. It wasn't worth replying to then, and it isn't worth replying to now.

Invicta_Veritas 07-17-2007 04:46 PM

He's too "elite" to give an honest answer, man, haven't you realized this?

i am the robots 07-17-2007 04:51 PM

Or he just doesn't care to listen to what other people have to say.

Invicta_Veritas 07-17-2007 05:54 PM

Or he has low self-sesteem.

i am the robots 07-17-2007 05:58 PM

Probably, but is mentioning this going to contribute anything?

Tyler 07-17-2007 06:02 PM

any other dargon fans?

Jesus Christ, shut the **** up.

No, I was just commenting en passante since no one else was talking about anything interesting.

So I just got Let Us Pray; the guitar work is some of VR's finest but the vocals kinda suck. I really don't like Jeff's vocals, though they were decent on Into Cold Darkness.

TojesDolan 07-17-2007 06:16 PM

I'm a dargon fan.

I actually saw them play here a couple days ago which was cool. That was honestly the first time I had listened to them.

I wasnt the biggest fan of their tunes, but they have a wicked stage performance. On that note though, I think that if I listened to them more, that the music/vocals would grow on me. One of those bands.

Angmar 07-17-2007 06:33 PM

I would love to see them live, too bad they hate the pacific northwest :upset:

Yeah they are pretty good. I want to see them live when they come here in September if I have enough money.

purplefeet 07-17-2007 06:47 PM

Oh right on. I got to see them play with Inherit Diease which was pretty cool. Those guys are bomb live too as well.

I would love to go, plus Alabama Thunderpussy is supporting them, but the originally announced Chicago date has apparently been cancelled.

Txus 07-17-2007 07:36 PM

Any of you guys like Viral Load?

I was actually wondering why they were skipping such a major city.
Any of you guys like Viral Load?
Awsome band. Practitioners of Perversion is really good, even though he has some of the dumbest song names ever, even by Brutal DM standards.

Best example of how programmed drums are supposed to sound like.
