haha that was getting a bit too far. i got hupnotize and mezmerize both the day they came out.. i could have bought the mezmerize a day earlier but i was grounded.. damn.

Toxicity was pretty good,
Steal this album was decent but gettin successively worse,
Didnt care for Mezmerize at all,
and Hypnotize was just ugh....
I think it has something to do with Daron's singing but i can't put my finger on it exactly

I got Hypnotize like a week ago...IMO its alot better than mezmerize. I like on Dreaming were they have the two vocals going on at the same time.

System of a Down is by far the greatest band ever. They're music is so invigorating that it makes you just wanna [b]punch[/b] something!!:smash:, but then they have certain songs that you can just chill to. SOAD in the end is a very versatile band that practices a lot of music and all of it is AMAZING.

Lmao...I can't really say that it makes me want to punch something. It just makes me want to pick up my guitar/bass and play/sing along. ^_^

Yes, System of a Down are a great band, I would like to see them in concert one of these days, they definately will be around for a long time, HOWEVER, I seen them on the Fuse giving and interview to that one chick and they are one of the most arrogant group of ***holes I have ever seen ever give an interview in my life. The bass player was the coolest one.....but they are good and [B]they know it[/B]...so I guess it is all good

They have a true metal like attitude...
I still have great respect for them as musicians..

probably been discussed already, but "hypnotize" seems to be very repetitive. daron tremolo picks way too much also.

fave song off of hypnotize is most definitely soldier side. as much as i dont appreciate nu-metal that much, that song does it for me. there's...just something about it. probably my fave SOAD song now and i've heard every single one :]

Actually if I'm not mistaken there are three vocal parts going on at once during the verses.

LMAO i saw that on Uranium i thot it was pretty cool they were doing that being arrogant but daron was the person showing the most and shavo was messin was wit the camera that was a good interview and serj kept his mouth shut most of the time but u cud tell with every little thing he said he was jsut backing up malakian

i don't really think they are nu metal, but i'll admit they arent the most complex band ever. Their songs do differentiate a lot, and for me anyway they are all good. I just wish that some of there fans would be a bit more mature. maybe a little less....SOAD OMG WTF PWNS YOU...and a little more common decency.

I missed them in concert when they came to where I am. So sad. :( Oh well. But from what I've read they don't seem that arrogant...then again, reading is much different then having them actually talk.

How is system the greatest band ever? After listening to hypnotize a couple of times i have'nt listend to them again. they are getting worse than i could have thought. If they still want to be a GOOD band Daron has to stop singing and let Serj do it. Yes Everyone has their own opinions but there is no way that they are the greatest band ever.

I don't know if this has been posted before, but i found a sweet SOAD concert on google video, 42 mins long. Im only at 8 minutes and so far theyve only played stuff from their first album. Good waych anyway.

Just like Feeder give punk a good name (/hates punk), SOAD are a shining bastion of musicality in the mire of sh*te that is nu-metal. I'm not generalising, I just mean a lot of successful nu-metal bands play really unoriginal music.
