i was givin one of my friends a ride home and i had rust in peace in the cd player and i was listening to holy wars of course (great great song) he asked me if i was listening to rush
i think rush is amazing. to think that all of that music is coming out of 3 guys is incredible.

as for dave's voice live, i think it sucks. it used to be really good like on all the old bootlegs i've heard he still had that snarl that he has. and in the studio he has a great voice. but from the live stuff like rude awakening ive seen, his voice has gone to hell for some reason. dunno what's up with that.

Your friend is deaf.

Thanks for the These Boots download, they really thrashed that song up, I love it. Live, Dave's voice is definitely higher. I don't mind it, he's Dave Mustaine, he can sing however the hell he wants, I'm still banging my head. The first time I heard Dave just talking, not singing, his voice sounded so much higher than I imagined in my sex dream - I mean mind.

Chu 03-10-2005 05:44 AM

Dude I saw them both in London. ****ing awesome.

Arise II 03-10-2005 02:11 PM

Yeah, they still play with DH. I talked to Tatler (their lead guitarist) after the show. Nice fella :)

Locks 03-10-2005 02:14 PM
Yeah, they still play with DH. I talked to Tatler (their lead guitarist) after the show. Nice fella :)
A friend that went with me had a drink with DH in the bar at Astoria, lucky bastard go to meet Mustaine in the end.

wrongnote85 03-10-2005 02:18 PM

man, diamond head are the coolest of the cool. who's in the lineup now. sean harris isn't in the band anymore is he....

Arise II 03-10-2005 04:56 PM
man, diamond head are the coolest of the cool. who's in the lineup now. sean harris isn't in the band anymore is he....
Nope, he's been replaced. The new singer is alright, but kinda generic. Nothing too special, you know...

munky_magik 03-10-2005 05:00 PM

The older Diamond Head material is brillant live. Their new stuff was very generic and unimaginative.

btoto 03-10-2005 05:17 PM

Do they still play something from Lightning To The Nations???

metal guitar III 03-10-2005 05:56 PM

They played Am I Evil and The Prince.

MAthiAS 03-10-2005 06:02 PM

I'll take Exodus over Diamond Head anyday...

metal guitar III 03-10-2005 06:05 PM

I have yet to listen to Exodus.

Chu 03-10-2005 06:41 PM

The Megadeth tickets are $70...

Freezing Moon 03-10-2005 06:43 PM

Exodus is good.
The Megadeth tickets are $70...
That's a lot of money for tickets, but it would be worth it to see them.

Chu 03-10-2005 06:50 PM

Yeah, but I told a few people I'd pay for their tickets aswell.
I dunno how much I thought they would cost, to be honest I've never been to a concert before.

MAthiAS 03-10-2005 08:27 PM
I have yet to listen to Exodus.
Get Bonded By Blood, and don't let Dargon see you.
Yeah, but I told a few people I'd pay for their tickets aswell.
What the hell is wrong with you?

Chu 03-10-2005 08:31 PM

I'm a generous guy, who earns way too much for not doing anything (I get paid disabled compensation). So why not share the love?

Eye_of_the_Beholder 03-11-2005 12:02 AM

haha, right now i am listening to the song "looking down the cross" definately not their best but a kick *** song at that, killing is my business...(ect.) is a pretty good album, definately a bigger fan of megadeths earlier, hard stuff, not too big on this nutech metal thing theyve got going on, i am a big metal fan and i wanted to see what kinda stuff bandss are comin out with these days, i put that in my cd player in my car for about two days, took it out, havent put it back yet, but one song on the album "the system has failed.." called "of mice and men" and i really don't like the song, the first singing part with the chorus effect is pretty rad, but more than anything i like where the song itself came from, of mice and men was an awesome book and just kinda the whole story behind it all is pretty cool, i wish i could write music....sigh....

FlyingPaul_83 03-11-2005 12:12 AM

What was your guys favorie song off of The System has failed? Mine is Kick the Chair Because it's fast and it kicks asss. Favorite

Freezing Moon 03-11-2005 12:13 AM

Mine was Kick The Chair too. I like the riffs better than most of the album.

FlyingPaul_83 03-11-2005 12:18 AM
Mine was Kick The Chair too. I like the riffs better than most of the album.
Yeah some of the songs are kinda cool like the scorpion and back in the day, but Kick the cahir is just every where and it's great.

Freezing Moon 03-11-2005 12:27 AM
Yeah some of the songs are kinda cool like the scorpion and back in the day, but Kick the cahir is just every where and it's great.
Agreed.

The rest of the album is good, but for me Kick The Chair stands out.

Apocalyptic Raids 03-11-2005 12:31 AM

Yeah, Kick The Chair is easily the best song on the new album

Arise II 03-11-2005 03:45 AM

Blackmail The Universe > Kick The Chair

Po0osH 03-11-2005 03:49 AM

BTU is my fav from TSHF

Mark. A 03-11-2005 05:05 AM

BTU is the greatest, i love it.

Lord Abortion 03-11-2005 05:44 AM

the scorpion is my favourite for the intro riff alone...
back in the day is second

Chu 03-11-2005 09:02 AM

What's Countdown To Extinction like?

munky_magik 03-11-2005 09:04 AM

Countdown to extinction loses the thrash feel and is generally classed as a straight up heavy metal album.
The songs are great though, as are Marty's solos. It's definatly worth getting.

Chu 03-11-2005 09:06 AM

****, I wanted a thrash album.
But I bought it anyway, let's hope it's good.

Six Foot Revolver 03-11-2005 09:10 AM

I love it!
Listening to it right now
NP: Psychotron

Chu 03-11-2005 09:13 AM

Listenning to it now, pretty good.

Off-topic, but the She Wolf, isn't that the same riff in Duke Nukem Theme, maybe slightly changed, but not alot.

NP: Sweating Bullets, love the vocals. :p

Six Foot Revolver 03-11-2005 09:15 AM

Sweating bullets is an incredible song and yes the vocals are brilliant

Chu 03-11-2005 09:22 AM

I wish it was a bit faster though, like the whole album, except Forclosure of a Dream, that song just rocks.
