Bad things truly come in threes. It's hard to keep it posi when this sh[size=2]i[/size]t happens.

1st : Shane leaves BTBAM. That wasn't [I]too[/I] bad because he's only been in a few months and didn't write anything. It does suck though because he was great live and a really nice guy.

2nd: Big one. Derek leaves Poison the Well. Founding member and major part of songwriting. [I]You Come Before You[/I] was amazing and I was really anxious to hear what they would do next. Sadly, I think now that possibility has been jeopardized. It makes sense though, just from seeing them live in February to reading the things they've been saying, it seems they're really tired of doing PTW from the non-stop touring they've been doing for a few years now. I think this would be a good time for them to call it a day.

3rd: The drummer and most importantly, the singer of Burnt By the Sun leave the band. Terrible news. I'm just really glad I had the opportunity to see them a few weeks ago before this happened.

Their singer sounds almost exactly like Dan, but musically they don't sound too much like Zao. There's a lot more Swedish-styled riffage than Zao, they're not nearly as dark as Zao, in fact they're rather upbeat and they have big melodic clean singy parts and poppiness in general, unlike Zao.

Nope, lickgoldensky broke up. It should be somewhere on the net. They were supposed to play the show last night, but didn't. And then the guitarist from another band confirmed it. The guitarist said that he had built this wall around himself in the band and that he didn't feel a part of it anymore, and then he didn't like being in that position, so he walked off stage after whichever song, and that's that.

I cried when I read your post about Derek leaving Buddy. But as sad as I am, I think you could possibly be right when you say they should call it quits. I'd hate to see them ruin You Come Before You with a crap album.
