He's got into a lot of underground bands that way.

Probably the title for me too since a lot of my favourite albums have bad album covers.

I do this at the big used records store in town. They have shelves and shelves of dollar- records/45's etc. Usually, I have a cache of albums in mind when I go shopping. But a pretty cover can sway me, especially if it's cheap. I don't have a record player anymore, though. So I don't do it as much.

I got into Mastodon simply because of their album art.

The title does sometimes make me buy an album as well

I got into Deerhoof and This Bike is a Pipe Bomb simply from their name.
