I've got "... And all that could have been" DVD for christmas :D :D
can anyon tell me, how i will see all the eastereggs? |
bump
hm... nobody know? as far as i know there is a bonus: MM and TR playing starfuckers and the beautiful people together; what do i have to press to see the video? |
Repcak, if I'm not mistaken, you can actually download that video off the official NIN website. It might only be a portion, though.
I'm suprised no one pointed out the irony of MM singing a song which is meant to be a parody of him. I've got the full clip on my computer and it's nothing to stress about. |

It has a comprehensive guide to accessing the secret content. It has some good stuff (TDTWWA video) and some not-so-good (the Manson performance). |
^Dont forget reptile!! that song totally goes off live!

Definately. I was going to mention that but...didn't. |

The Hand That Feeds is the only song iv ever really liked. Though i havent heard much.
|
Hmm. Haven't been around this thread for a while. Repcak, that's great that you got the dvd for x-mas. What did you think of the extra footage? The MM video isn't all that great, I think.
ValeOfShadows, THTF is a good song. I don't mind it. But it's definately not their best. You should check out tracks such as 'And All That Could Have Been', 'The Becoming' and 'Reptile' (among others). 'Dead Souls' is a good one too. I'm assuming you've heard a few others like 'Closer', 'Head Like a Hole' and perhaps 'Hurt'? |
I listened to The Fragile all the way through the other night, it has awesome flow but the individual songs are too alike to make it really fantastic. I would rather it as a single album so it didn't need so much filler.
|
yesterday i saw the dvd for the first time and it was great! a fantastic show; the effects and the videos during the live shows were stunning.
i haven't seen the extra-bonus material yet... i will do that when i will be in vienna again; |
so NIN are starting a new tour. Here's hoping they'll come to Melbourne again.
|
hm... great for americans... but there are no european tour dates *sad*

Woo ill take another dose of NIN at Rod Laver anyday, but it probably wont be for a while yet :upset: Were you for the pit for the first show Darth? |
I'm seeing NIN in Atlantic City. I ****ing marked out when I saw the date on their site
|
Correction: I was supposed to see them. They sold out in 8 goddamn minutes. Damn scalpers, there's an assload of GA tickets on ebay, but they're ranging from $120 per ticket, to $200 per ticket, to $400 for a pair. For general admission.

Thats gotta suck.

Damn those scalpers! The same thing happened when NIN was first going on tour to support 'With Teeth'...when they did the club tour last year. I was lucky enough to get tickets for the Austin show but that one also sold out within 3-5mins...as did the Houston show which I wanted to also attend. Anyway, I'll be seeing NIN again on March 24th! Can't wait. By the way, for those outside of the U.S., seems like they might do a world tour again. At one of the last chats that happened over at the spiral, Reznor himself mentioned something about doing this last U.S. tour and going overseas one more time before finally taking a break. Perhaps they'll be attending summer festivals? |

Same exact thing happened to me on their first WT tour. It sucks, and I felt the exact way as you. I missed getting tickets by less than one minute. |
Ya, Srry lol I just found this thread. But yah, I like Nine Inch nails stuff, I had all there albums on my Ipod but it accidentally all got deleted, now Im trying to find someone to borrow "Pretty hate Machine" from, cause that wasd by far my favorite album.

First time I heard of NIN, I expected them to be an overlyexagerated heavy power chord crazy death metal type band.
I was miles from accuracy, these guys blow me away with their sound. For some reason, and not because I'm a bassist, the basslines seem to stand out most in their music. |
Interesting. I've never heard anyone say the bass stands out the most for him in NIN. Cool to hear that, though.

Anyone wanna give me ANY NIN albums Over MSN add me please id_rather-not@hotmail.com cause im completly without and it sux hard. so any help is apreacciated |
I've always thought the bass was a major part of the band. They are a prime example of simple bass lines that sound awesome.

Yeah, I feel the same way, the bass is really catchy. |
The bass is really catchy on With Teeth. On all the other albums everything is usually really layered over everything so the bass doesn't really stand out.

What about on Pretty Hate Machine? The bass is the prominent instrument for a few songs on that, and it's lovely. |
I love that third song on the Downward Spiral, 'God is Dead' song.
|
The bass is really catchy on With Teeth.
Yeah, it is. I also thought it was very bass driven the first few times I heard it. I like it though.
I love that third song on the Downward Spiral, 'God is Dead' song.
'Heresy'...awesome song. TDS is without a doubt my favorite NIN album. Love every single track on there. 'The Becoming' is a personal fave. |
