Censors are just ****ed up people
Kind of funny how MF has one. Most people know how to bypass it though.
|
Green Day's "Dookie" and "Insomniac" don't have parental advisories and they have at least one "needs to be edited for radio" word per song. Pfft, who knows?
|
Ya I really wish I knew the system that they go by. Im out peace!
|
What the hell? The new CD has a parental advisory?
WHAT!?!?!?!?!?! NOOO! This might ruin my plan on tuesday. I will be soo pissed if the store doesn't let me buy the CD because of that. |

I don't you have to have a parental with you. Edit: From Cobalt And Calcium: http://www.cobaltandcalcium.com/files/news_pics/good-apollo.jpg |
Most stores ignore the warning. Plus are you 13? If you are you're fine.
|
I'm 14 so I guess I'm fine.
|
Did everyone here really find out about the PA warning just today? It was shown more than a week ago.

Naw, I've known about it for a while. |
I didn't know about it until today. But I don't visit Cobalt and Calcium regularly, so I don't know when that picture was put up.
|
I had no idea about it until it was mentioned in here a little while ago...
"Sweet Josephine, will you fuck me back home?"
That's in Devil In Jersey City. SSTB didn't get an advisory. So yeah, I'll bet it has to do with their record label.
I've discovered that a band can get away with at least 3 F-bombs per album. For reference, Dave Matthews Band's Before These Crowded Streets has three, all in one song. That seems to be the maximum. |
I have CDs with more than three and still no Parental Advisory. I hate the PA thing it make the cover look ugly. And yes it has to do with the fact that they're on a major record label now.
|
Yeah, I always wondered why some CDs have the warning, and some don't, even if they both contain obscene language.
|
Yeah, I always wondered why some CDs have the warning, and some don't, even if they both contain obscene language.
Because there's no law that says you have to use PA, it's ut to the labels. Some labels, like major labels, like to use them. Some labels, like good labels, don't. |
I don't think their is anything wrong with them like really am I not going to buy a CD because it has a PA sticker on it. I could care less it just sucks for the band because then like 9 or 10 year old kids aren't going to be able to guy the CD cause there mommy thinks it has to much bad language on it.

I'm not saying kids aren't still going to buy it I'm just saying there are going to be parents that wont let their kids get it because it has that sticker on it. It makes the CD sound so much worse than it really is. If you listen to the whole thing you probably wouldn't even notice why it has the sticker.

the new CD is sooo good. The Willing Well I, II, III, IV are easily the best songs on the album. Very catchy album, none of the songs are like Welcome Home. The intro is from another CD, I won't spoil that(unless someone did already!) :). And don't think I'm not going to buy it because I have it downloaded, I'm not a chump like that ripping off coheed considering I've seen them as early as 2002 which I bet most of you hadn't even heard about coheed.
I don't see the need for the parental advisory though...I can barely notice they curse at all? I will be one of the first people to see coheed play too right after the CD comes out and they are doing an autograph signing! September 21st in a secret location! mwuahaha /brag |
Ya its not secret cause I was going to go too but I have a ISTEP test and its like the QUE test and I can't miss it so thats a bummer I'm still seeing them October 1st and I don't agree with you about the best songs the best songs are Crossing the Frame and Apollo I: The Writing Writer. Sweet!
|
Apollo I: The Writing Writer has the same chorus as the Willing Well III:Apollo II
|
I know that doesn't make it less of a good song.

Blink 182 appealing to 7 year olds? How could this ever be possible? |
Man, I listened to them when every other 7 year old was listening to Backstreet Boys and Britney Spears, before they released All The Small Things. At the time no other seven year old would listen to Blink.
|
I listened to Blink around that age but I don't think I was seven. I remember I went to my cousins house one day and she was probably like 15 or 16 my age now and i was like 9 or 10 and she was listening to All the Small Things and I loved it haha.

Willing Well III (I think) also has Blood Red Summer and Everything Evil in it. As soon as DBJ gets on, I'll have a badass Co&Ca avatar. :thumb: |
Whats it look like?
