They sound a bit like Death Cab with female vocals. Artificial Light is a pretty good song:)
yeah.

Sickbed is my favorite, though.

Tangy zizzle 10-27-2004 10:53 PM

I'm not really getting into a lot at the moment.

No new bands have really wowed me recently, but I've been finding some really great bands from the past 20 or so years.

Zappa 10-28-2004 04:19 AM

I think Captain America should have been "The Great American Hero," but wasn't it G.I. Joe?

Luxor 10-28-2004 01:17 PM
The other night, I went on a downloading spree and ripped hundreds of songs from the computers of my fellow classmates.

I got: Belle and Sebatian, Jurassic 5, Elliott Smith, Grateful Dead, Sparta, Coheed and Cambria, AtDI and some more.
Probably the best rap group out there.
I think Captain America should have been "The Great American Hero," but wasn't it G.I. Joe?
No, Cap's in the clear man. G.I. Joe was a Real American Hero.

kirkrock85 10-28-2004 08:08 PM

i've always liked the violent femmes... but, now I'm really getting into them right now... them and a lot of lou reed...

kirkrock85 10-28-2004 08:09 PM
Probably the best rap group out there.
I agree... the roots are also really good too...

Zappa 10-29-2004 08:05 PM
No, Cap's in the clear man. G.I. Joe was a Real American Hero.
Ah, sorry. It was 20 after 6 in the morning. I was in a dazzzzze.

Happymeal 10-29-2004 09:11 PM

Been listening to some metal, particularly Wormed and Unexpect, along with sentimental and horribly mushy stuff.

biografiend 10-29-2004 10:29 PM

mum and freezepop have been dominating my computer lately.

Ornery Cephalopod 10-30-2004 12:17 AM

Romances by Patton/Kaada has leaked, but I can't listen to it yet (pappy's watching the boob tube). ,_,

Good lord I'm in agony here, the samples from a while back were so dang classy.

Tomahawk 10-30-2004 02:00 AM
Romances by Patton/Kaada has leaked
Where can I get my hands on this? I'm not that psyched about it, but I still want to hear it.

br3ad_man 10-30-2004 02:46 AM

Today I've listened to these bands:

Radiohead
Fantomas
Nirvana
Miles Davis
Weezer

I listened to "Delirium Cordia" today and I found it boring. It used to be my favourite Fantomas album but now I think it's my least favourite. I'd say the first album is my favourite now.

Tangy zizzle 10-30-2004 03:09 AM

The Directors Cut = Only really worthwhile Fant? album.

I've been listening to a lot of my old punk/pop-punk albums today.

How much do I love No Use For A Name? This ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Much.

br3ad_man 10-30-2004 04:13 AM

Hey Tangy! One of my mates from church is into These Arms Are Snakes. It's a girl too!

Tangy zizzle 10-30-2004 04:22 AM

Marry her.

Now.

Then make indie-children with her.

br3ad_man 10-30-2004 04:36 AM

Nah man, all the other stuff she listens to is like Dashboard and stuff. Plus shes not my type ;)

OrbDragon 10-30-2004 05:36 AM

I'm not going to download "Romances"...I much rather buy and and then hear it. From what I heard from the samples...it's gonna be amazing.

Zappa 10-30-2004 07:49 AM

Not so. The self-titled is excellent. Delirium Cordia, on the other hand, is quite lame.

I've noticed this theme appears a lot in your posts, Tangy....

Zappa 10-30-2004 09:30 AM

That's because Tangy longs for a woman.

aww...

(i've found that after all these years, my love for interpol still hasn't faded. yet perhaps that might be because antics made me realize how good they still are.)

Tomahawk 10-30-2004 10:10 AM

I've been heavily digging TV on the Radio. I'm listening to a recording of one of their concerts right now... it's really good, especially considering that they're such a studio band (what with the layered voices and the electronic beats and stuff).

Edit: if anyone wants to listen to it, it's at http://www.justconcerts.com/concerts/concert.cfm?Act_Id=381&Concert_Id=314&Band_Id=13098&secondaryconcert=n
Where can I get my hands on this? I'm not that psyched about it, but I still want to hear it.
I got Romances from a group of my good internet buddies on Soulseek that always seem to be in-the-know with leaks and such... So it might not be spread around very much yet. I'm Kazzo on Soulseek if you don't mind really slow speeds, otherwise try getting it from [Starscream] or rf2202 or the_lethal_error I guess.
I'm not going to download "Romances"...I much rather buy and and then hear it. From what I heard from the samples...it's gonna be amazing.
I'm finally getting to listen to it now, up to song #6 right now. Oh god, it is amazing. Some parts I'm gonna have to give a few more listens before I can really absorb it all and start diggin' it more, but there's a lot of it that's instantly awesome.

asymm 10-30-2004 03:13 PM

Tim Hecker
Not so. The self-titled is excellent. Delirium Cordia, on the other hand, is quite lame.
Well I've only heard half of it, so I can't really judge.

But Directors Cut > Delirium Cordia.
