just listen to it it has tthe same beat and its the same riff reused
omfg god!! and they use riffs/melodies from mozart.
Towards Dead End intro is taken from the movie "the crow"
and some sinergy riffs sound even the same as on some songs by Cob

ps.: if you haven't realized it... EVERY fukkin band is DOING IT !

I only own those three albums but thats how I rank them. I havn't heard the whole Hatbreeder album but I loved the few songs I heard from it. Towards Dead End is probobly my favorite CoB song at the moment.
MRDuCran 06-12-2006 12:59 PM

Whassup everyone, been away at Download Festival so I couldn't be here to experience all the crazy crap that happens. Anything exciting been happening?

kurrpt 06-12-2006 01:00 PM

not shizz man...

started up a little project. The singer is a go, but I thought the drummer was sloppy with little chance of making it work

AA-12 06-12-2006 01:03 PM

I'm just sitting here learning SN,BN. There's a bad hurricane here and chances are we'll lose electric. That = Me just reading and playing guitar.

kurrpt 06-12-2006 01:04 PM

ill probably learn that song next actually. I was showing my new singer some CoB, and I think hes into them

Reading and playing guitar is awesome.

repcak 06-12-2006 02:27 PM

or writing... thats what i do all the time... :p
watching films, reading dracula ... everthing, but not playing guitar.

kurrpt 06-12-2006 03:05 PM

loser talk repcak

repcak 06-12-2006 03:26 PM

two days ago i said to a friend (about how i learn):
"das einzige konsequenze an mir ist meine ewige inkonsequenz beim lernen"

translated:
the only consequence thing in my life is my all-time inconsequnce

we talked about learning... but you can put "playing guitar" instead - it would be the same ... especially in the last two weeks when i hardly played.

MRDuCran 06-12-2006 03:34 PM

I haven't played in about 4/5 days, I picked up the guitar and couldn't even fret an F#5 chord and pick 3 strings accurately.

I'm going to have to get my act together though since I'm required to play Bleeding Mascara by Atreyu on Friday.

LouderSixpounder 06-12-2006 03:48 PM

Children of Bodom is my favorite band. They're so cool. Alexi is such an amazing guitarist. I'm learning their cover of "Oops I Did It Again" on guitar.

BlackFire_ 06-12-2006 03:49 PM
Reading and playing guitar is awesome.
Agreed, I love doing that.

i know that... after a pause you (at least I) need 2-3days untill i am at my former skill-level again.

MRDuCran 06-12-2006 04:12 PM
i know that... after a pause you (at least I) need 2-3days untill i am at my former skill-level again.
Yeah exactly, hopefully I can sit around doing fukk all for a few days and practise it a bit.

I hate Atreyu so much.

Fret wise, what's an F#5? I looked on chordfind and couldn't figure it out.

I'm only playing every other dayish right now, til my Ibanez gets in. :thumb: Then'll I'll play many hours of the day all summer.

repcak 06-12-2006 04:35 PM

i just had to realize that its better to play anything on guitar for at least 30min a day, than not playing guitar for days.

MRDuCran 06-12-2006 04:45 PM
I hate Atreyu so much.
I'm not really into them but I saw them at Download and it made my friends want to play it so I have to learn it. Plus, it has a nice little sweep picking intro so it's good enough.
Fret wise, what's an F#5? I looked on chordfind and couldn't figure it out.
repcak 06-12-2006 04:47 PM

so its a normal F# minor powerchord ...

MRDuCran 06-12-2006 05:02 PM

Yeah, it's what F#5 means.

5 being the 5th of the chord.

TEST 06-12-2006 05:05 PM
Yeah, it's what F#5 means.

and now I realize.......

I was just looking at my Bodom Beach Terror tab and saw. haha.

What's so hard about that chord?

MRDuCran 06-12-2006 05:10 PM

Nothing's hard, but after not playing for 4/5 days, being tired and fukking sore, it feels kinda weird to touch, hold, and play a guitar again.

IheartSP 06-12-2006 05:16 PM
so its a normal F# minor powerchord ...
Powerchords are neither major nor minor.
Reading and playing guitar is awesome.
Not at the same time, haha.

IheartSP 06-12-2006 06:19 PM

If anyone knows anything about Fruity Loops in here, how do you slow down a tempo gradually?

AA-12 06-12-2006 06:20 PM

I don't think you can in program.

IheartSP 06-12-2006 06:25 PM

Damn, my song has a rall. (whatveer that stands for, it's when teh tempo gradually slows down) at the end, and I need to find some way to program that in Fruity Loops.

AA-12 06-12-2006 06:26 PM

retardando I believe it's called.

You'll probably have to export it into another program and do it.

IheartSP 06-12-2006 06:30 PM

I wonder if it is possible in Audacity, which I use to record. That would mean I could just do it to the whole song at once.

MRDuCran 06-12-2006 06:50 PM

There's more information on the DVD if you go look on Scythes of Bodom, it comes out in October.

Lil’ Bloodred Ridin’ Hood 06-12-2006 07:00 PM

Wow I Want That Dvd!!

TEST 06-12-2006 07:31 PM

Sounds like I should be setting the torrent seas late this summer.

Actually I might buy that.

MRDuCran 06-12-2006 07:53 PM
Actually I might buy that.
I know I will be.

Only problem is, I've seen all their official videos and seen so many live videos it won't be anything special anymore, it'll pretty much be the same as the Nosturi gig.
