I always get that.

I'll go "Hahahaha!" and everyone will look at me and go ":(, why are you laughing, it's sad"

And then I go like "But he died and it looked painful and... :upset:"
I always laugh at times I shouldn't when I'm with my gf to piss her off. Like in Titanic or American Psycho, I laugh the whole time.

Amit 02-06-2006 03:37 PM

haha thanks but i don't see what's the big deal

anyway i watch anime sometimes but i wish i could find the anime that was on scifi channel like 10 years ago it was really gory and dark and grim but still beautifully drawn

my fruitless search frustrates me :-(

gmoneyguy 02-06-2006 03:37 PM

i have a few friends that are extrememly good about knowing Anime movies after giving them little or no description of the movie.

He just proved his worth again a month ago, when i made some horrible reference to an anime with pigs fighting monkeys, and he was all over it

well it's sort of like akira except a lot darker and more technical animation style

huge attention to artistic detail too

lots of tentacles and weird huge blobby humanoid monsters and it was post apocalyptic

PinkFreud 02-06-2006 03:54 PM

i saw akira. that was the only anime i actually watched. it was really good.

Arucard 02-06-2006 04:18 PM

Eggo, that sounds alot like Akira to me.

Did the blob thing with guns look like this by any chance? Oh and Post Apocolyptic? Definatly Akira.

superpeer 02-06-2006 04:20 PM

If so, he wouldn't have said that it was "like Akira". Whatever the fuck that is.

Arucard 02-06-2006 04:22 PM

Oh did he say that? I didn't notice.

/Ignore me.

Jawaharal 02-06-2006 04:28 PM

Akira was alot better when I read it than when I watched it. I'm not an anime nerd, but I really liked the movie so I had to read the books.

Lunch 02-06-2006 04:30 PM

Ok guys, here's a n00b question: How do you bold things on Sputnik reviews?

I can't find any type of editing panel.

just like in a message

no *'s

Jacaranda 02-06-2006 04:33 PM

You have to type out the code me thinks. ([b ] [ /b]).

The only anime I've ever seen and liked was Princess Monoke or something along that lines it was actually really interesting.

Lunch 02-06-2006 04:34 PM

Do I have to type in the cues myself though? I'm at the step where it says submit, so I copy and pasted my review from the word document, but there isn't the tool bar thing like there is in this message here.

Arg, I really don't want to do that.

/cries.

superpeer 02-06-2006 04:43 PM

Yep, you do.

Well I did it, so check out if you can spare some time. It's the Who - Live at Leeds (it's pretty much a written form of me giving them head).

I love that one. I'm interested in watching it again right now.

I've learned to insert the format tags as I go along when writing reviews.

hehe i said it was like akira but i definitely know it wasn't akira

which is a great movie anyway

the style of animation and drawing is much more incredibly detailed in the movie(s) i'm talking about

maybe it was ghost in a shell? *shrug*

Bartender 02-06-2006 05:12 PM

Could be Ghost in the Shell; there's a monster towards the end that could be what you're talking about, though it's not so much a blob if I remember correctly.

I've got a show on in the background; "Nazi Hate Rock: A Macintyre Investigation". I love shows like this. Bad politics and worse music.
