Yeah pretty true. I dont like what they are doing either. I try not to focus on what they are doing now and try to live the 80s again. Those were the good days for Metallica.
Yeah, the eighties we're awesome for Metallica.
Maybe they'll suffer from mid life crisis soon and just
go back to how they did things then.

hey, maybe they will come out with a new cd and then come out with a best of cd and then call it quits, thats what i predict happening, and its pretty likely.
i have it,its pretty good, especally(i kno its spelled wrong) hit the lights, and when james forgets the words to RTL he just goes"i forgot the fuckin words"
I definitely got a laugh when he did that. Wasn't hit the lights,
motorbreath, and RTL (outside that mishap) awesome sounding?
I unfortunately (do to financial and transportation problems)
never got to see them play live in person. (only on dvd's)
I'd probably die if could go see one of their shows, and they
did those songs as well as they did.

My older sister & brother got to see them in bakersfield
in 2003 and totally ditched me when I'm the bigger fan. :upset:
They brought back some cool shirts and stuff, but I'd have
traded it all for a ticket and a ride. Besides, hitch hiking there
is more of an adventure anyways.

I got to get to class (college) laterz.

You think Metallica are going too call it quits soon???, i did think that a while ago however they have not too long ago got rob trujillo, i dont think they will have him join the band and do like 1 or 2 albums then call it a day.... I think they have at least 3 more albums left in them..... Thats my opinion, what do you think???

s&m is there closest thing to a best of and they will never go back to the 80's style they had. though i think it would be GREAT! but it wont happen. the new basist (i dont even know his name) is the most metal they have. i like to watch him live

acefrehleyjendell 02-23-2005 09:46 PM

His name is Robert Trujillo.
And yes he's awesome live, kinda like Donkey Kong on speed.

Metallica's old music will live forever.....the new stuff will lay in shame to the magnificent music they have written in the past. When I saw them live Kirk seemed a bit rusty, almost like he didn't want to play the solos in some of the songs. They dont have the energy they used to have.

xxxH.Cxxx 02-23-2005 11:00 PM

Their Old Musik Is Bad!! I Luv Fade To Black, one And Nothing Else Matters

KILO5203 02-23-2005 11:01 PM

theyre not that old. ozzy is like 56 and he still does stuff.

6stringslinger 02-23-2005 11:07 PM

Most of them(Metallica) are around 38-40yrs old i think.

KILO5203 02-23-2005 11:12 PM

yeah that sounds about right

leomondaine 02-23-2005 11:28 PM

look at other bands like iron maiden, their youngest member will be 47 this year and they're still going strong. and they still have amazing solos, so there no reason really why they shouldnt have the energy they used to have

i agree, just cause they're old doesn't mean they are bad. i kinda like soma their new stuff. they're just changin with the times

i'd take a year off and do all that stuff

you do have a point. kirk messed up a few times, but he still looked like he was having fun the whole time. i think they've got plenty of energy
look at other bands like iron maiden, their youngest member will be 47 this year and they're still going strong. and they still have amazing solos, so there no reason really why they shouldnt have the energy they used to have
bad word. if they don't have the energy to keep on going, then that' their choice. they have the energy, that's why they're in studios and going on tour again soon. but no one should have energy, and it's up to the band members if they want to use it

Josh 02-24-2005 10:46 AM

i suppose everyones always going to look back and compare new albums to the greats like ...and justice for all and ride the lightning, but the band wont go back to that as the music has changed from what it used to be.

KILO5203 02-24-2005 12:02 PM

well im not really worried about how the new album is gonna be. i know ill like it, cuz ive liked all the others. (yes, even st anger)
