I hate fireworks.

niobium 07-04-2008 10:05 PM

it's inindependence day

our town tried to make the gb packers G in the sky before they finally got it right. they followed all the green G's up with pink hearts.

I sometimes wish we were still part of Britain.

YDload 07-04-2008 10:23 PM

that chestnut guy won the hot dog-eating competition, beating kobayashi WOO USA

dei 07-04-2008 10:30 PM

America drools morelike.

niobium 07-04-2008 10:59 PM

joey chestnut is a great name and i saw him beat kobayashi

then kobayashi claimed to have lockjaw later on, forcing a possible retirement
thats what i've read is like end of '09 or some ****

which is ridiculous. i think they should announce a game and put it out like 3 months later. fags.
yeah for real. Or at least wait until there's a tentative release date. They just wanna tease all the losers waiting for the game. I remember waking up like 2 hours early before elementary school to play Diablo 1. Those were the days.

Bukowski 07-05-2008 10:55 AM
It sounds like you've already got a great repertoire there. I know you know these bands, so this should be easy:

Embrace yes yes yes for the love of God learn some Embrace. The Mackaye one, not the British one.

Television so so good.

Husker Du, Greg Norton is a beast.

Unwound, some great basslines that dont follow the guitar.
Wipers, some great basslines that DO follow the guitar but with lots of fills.
Morphine, even if you dont got a 2-string slide you can still play the songs on a normal bass.

...those are all bands where tabs might be harder to find, so i (try) to learn them by ear. however, i learned these ones from tabs and so can you:

Cursive - The Recluse
Nomeansno - Rags and Bones
Pixies - Here Comes Your Man
ATDI - Quarantined, Invalid Litter Dept.
The Jesus Lizard - Monkey Trick

honestly if you've already got Minutemen and Fugazi thats like 90% of all the great basslines ever written (by white people anyway)
thanks!

I used to do that for Starcraft. Me and my friends had a clan and we'd go online and get the **** kicked out of us by koreans all the time, unless by some off chance they didn't defend against a Zergling rush. Good times.

Liebensaft 07-05-2008 01:36 PM

Hah. I never got into Starcraft much. My dad played it a lot though. Asians are crazy.

dei 07-05-2008 02:10 PM

I used to wake up early to watch Pokemon.

Interstate 07-05-2008 05:22 PM

I'm about to watch Singing In The Rain in a minute. Love it.

Glitterati 07-05-2008 06:08 PM
I used to wake up early to watch Pokemon.
I used to but then I abandoned that for Digimon.

Whenever I see Singin' In The Rain I always think of A Clockwork Orange.

pixiesfanyo 07-05-2008 06:23 PM

waking up early for TV was the ****.

Of all the lameass posts you've ever made, this has to be the lamest

Digimon don't got **** on Pokemon.

I have to go ahead and agree. What the hell.

Jacaranda 07-05-2008 08:41 PM

Digimon had a lot more interesting story. Saying that the story wasn't walk around and drag out the thin plot and have ****ing team rocket do stupid ****.

but other then tv pokemon slaughtered digimon.

perriwinkle 07-05-2008 08:54 PM

bought Replacements - Tim used for $7 at the mall today

listened to like three songs and it was pretty cool but not really that great

Liebensaft 07-05-2008 08:58 PM

I haven't been crazy about their stuff outside of Let it Be, but in all fairness, I haven't tried very hard to get into it. I have a few other albums and don't know where to start.

YDload 07-05-2008 09:08 PM

you have to listen to all the songs on Tim, dipsit. otherwise you won't know which ones are good and which aren't. but generally, The Replacements put all the good songs at the beginning and end of the album, and the filler's in the middle (except Bastards of Young which rules).

Time 07-05-2008 09:10 PM

Tracks 3-5 on Tim are the only ones that aren't very good.

YDload 07-05-2008 09:38 PM

wrong: Waitress in the Sky is okay but Swingin' Party is stupid. so 3-4-6 are dumb

perriwinkle 07-05-2008 09:48 PM

wrong.

YourBiggestFan 07-05-2008 10:11 PM

Swingin' Party is fantastic!

Jacaranda 07-05-2008 11:53 PM
Swingin' Party is fantastic!
ya just doesn't really fit the middle of the album.

sorry ma is getting a lot more play time for me. its pretty sweet.

Interstate 07-06-2008 05:59 AM

Got our first training session today ready for the new football season, pissing down with rain. How fun.

pixiesfanyo 07-06-2008 01:52 PM

i think Swingin' Party is my fav off Tim. that or Left of the Dial

The Great Decay 07-06-2008 02:24 PM

I haven't posted here in a long *** while, but I was hoping one of you could hook me up.. I need a program to transfer all of my music from my ipod to my new laptop. I've already searched google, but I can only ever seem to come up with a program that will allow me to transfer one song at a time, or a very limited number of songs. A link to the download of a recommended program would be greatly appreciated.

dei 07-06-2008 02:36 PM

You can transfer your songs with Winamp, I think.

The Great Decay 07-06-2008 03:18 PM

I've also heard because I have the ipod classic that it can be treated as an external hard drive, but when I was attempting to access the required folder, it was hidden and I don't know how to expose hidden folders on vista. Irregardless, a program that did it for me would be much less work and I'll look into the winamp situation.

perriwinkle 07-06-2008 03:19 PM

well you can go through and manipulate / copypaste all the individual mp3's but theyre encoded and randomly named/organized so its really not worth it. google is pretty amazing

also i said this in the good bands thread but i listened to the new del and im really disappointed

The Great Decay 07-06-2008 03:29 PM

Winamp doesn't seem like a very sound choice.

niobium 07-06-2008 03:59 PM

i use winamp to transfer songs onto my zen8gb

although i think the program plugins are kind of sketchy. it gets glitchy about trying to delete too much at once and you have to know how to plug it in and whether or not the device is turned on or not.

The Great Decay 07-06-2008 04:41 PM

I've found the majority of the more popular programs to use, but they all cost cash and the trial versions suck balls. Someone has to of had this problem in the past, hook a brother up.

BringHomeTheBacon 07-06-2008 04:49 PM

Tools -> Folder Options -> View -> Show hidden files and folders.

I transferred the files from my iPod to my PC without a program and it wasn't too difficult. iTunes recognizes all the songs when you import them.

The Great Decay 07-06-2008 07:34 PM

I'm in My Computer currently and looking at the folder in iPod_Control entitled "Music" which according to an article I found on google is supposed to have all my music, so I went to add that folder to my library after switching my iTunes preferences to "copy files to itunes music folder when added to library" and nothing happened. Also, if I hover the mouse over the folder it says the folder is empty, but if click on the folder there are a shitload of subfolders that have the music in them.

dei 07-06-2008 07:36 PM

I used Winamp to transfer songs from my iPod nano onto my computer.
