You can use it to show off, but I use it to keep track of my artists. I also have a huge artist list on my MySpace, and between the two if my collection on my computer is ever lost I'll know what to get back.

It's really just fun, but sure, you can use it to show off. I've also started using the "recommendation" feature on it.

Yeah, us regs have been posting them in here for months before that thread was concieved... back in the days of Audioscrobbler even.
