I know he was, but It's my opinion that he should leave it be and stop gaining success by continuing to build off of their legacy.
I agree, but it was a good show.

Eh...It just pisses me off. The Beatles were so much more than just Mcartney, yet he is still taking credit for the results of their combined efforts.

magicbus 02-06-2005 07:42 PM

That was a mellow half time show.

jpj 02-06-2005 07:43 PM
That was a mellow half time show.
Were you expecting brutal death metal or something?

Moon Flavor 02-06-2005 07:44 PM
That was a mellow half time show.
It beat any halftime show I've ever seen...

I know what you mean, I see your point. He should at least say "In memory of the band" or something, rather than play it like it's nothing.

Freezing Moon 02-06-2005 07:44 PM
It beat any halftime show I've ever seen...
123. Definitly a good show.

magicbus 02-06-2005 07:45 PM

I thought it'd be more exciting and energetic, like half time shows.

Kingofdudes 02-06-2005 07:46 PM

I liked the Half time show

No, excitement was invented by giddy little schoolgirls, and should be kept away from football

Eitri Is Berserk 02-06-2005 07:46 PM
he was in the beatles..... unless you think he's an imposter
I know, I just thought it was funny how munky called him a beatles whore. Then I did something lame.. :upset:

jpj 02-06-2005 07:47 PM
I thought it'd be more exciting and energetic, like half time shows.
You didn't think it was exciting? You must have terribly high standards for something exciting.

Yea, I loved it...I wonder if they played along with a tape though, it seems like they would :upset:

I just mean it was much quieter, laid back, and mellow than other half time shows I've seen.

jpj 02-06-2005 07:51 PM
Yea, I loved...I wonder if they played along with a tape though, it seems like they would :upset:
No, they didn't. The reason it sounded sogod was because you don't hear what is coming out of the amps, but it's a direct feed from the instrument. Or so my dad says.

Moon Flavor 02-06-2005 07:52 PM
No, they didn't. The reason it sounded sogod was because you don't hear what is coming out of the amps, but it's a direct feed from the instrument. Or so my dad says.
But I saw Paul take his left hand off his bass quite a few times WHILE playing
'Nother Touch down pats :(
So you decided to watch it?

jpj 02-06-2005 07:52 PM
I just mean it was much quieter, laid back, and mellow than other half time shows I've seen.
I think you iz crazy. I didn't think it was laid back, I mean Live and Let Die is the opposite of mellow.

magicbus 02-06-2005 07:53 PM
I think you iz crazy. I didn't think it was laid back, I mean Live and Let Die is the opposite of mellow.
But it was piano and soft guitar!

munky_magik 02-06-2005 07:53 PM

Hey Jude though?

There are very small spots in songs where there isn't any bass and Beatles' songs don't exactly have fast, aggresive bass lines.

I suppose.....I guess it just seemed odd then...

Freezing Moon 02-06-2005 07:55 PM

I thought it was high energy, with mellow songs.

Cool. I'm rootin for the eagles.

jpj 02-06-2005 07:56 PM
But it was piano and soft guitar!
The guitar in Live and Let Die is distorted except for that part in the middle (would it be the bridge?) where it's all up-beat.

And Hey Jude picks up at the end.
