"Mandatory Metallica" Does anybody on here have this on your local radio station??
Every night (mon-fri) at midnight they play a block(3-4) songs from Metallica. They started doing it back in 1998 and still do it every night here in Dayton,Oh.
Ya we've got mandatory Metallica in Winnipeg, MB on a radio station. It's awesome. They usually play pre-black album material to which is a huge plus :thumb: |
not around here. if theres one metallica song you hear on the radio its enter sandman, which is why i just stick to the cd player.
|
they used to have mandatory metallica here in New Zealand but the c*nts took it off
|
well when it's not mandatory metallica it isn't much better here either. I usually here either Enter Sandman, or, for some reason, King Nothing........?
|
Here in Dayton,Oh they play "Fade to Black" alot and "Enter Sandman"
|
Ya Fade to Black and the Unforgiven get some airtime every now and then but those 4 are basically the meat of the metallica here.
|
planet rock in tas plays bloody fuel every night 8-)
actually come to think of it i have heard the unnamed feeling a few times lol, ive got crap all chance of hearing any good tallica on the radio, they are all convinced that rock music is simple plan and good charlotte |

in the UK you dont get much metallica on regular radio, you get a bit on digital radio. on kerrang! tv they play enter sandman, i disappear, nothing else matters, one. on other channels they still play st. anger and until it sleeps. |
Yes, death to all emo bastards!!!!
Rise all u metalheadz out in Aus and destroy any crappy music out there!!!!!!! Sorry, somtimes I can't help myself when it comes to emo. Just keep looking and you'll find other metalheadz.
Wait, they have Metalheads in Aus now too?! |
What is emo? Ive heard my friends talking about it and i just dont know what they are talking about.
|
i think its supposed to be "emotional hardcore" or some crap like that.
|
too frigging right we do man
i get beaten at school cos i admitted i like tallica |
thats tough. anyway, whats the general thoughts on load / reload? IMO they are average albums, not as strong as the self-titled but way better than st. anger.
whats your thoughts? (i have kill 'em all, ride the lightning, ...and justice for all (pirate), master of puppets (pirate), metallica, load, reload) EDIT:forgot i have s&m (pirate) |
So its a type of music. Also who do u think does the best metallica covers? eg, Dream Theater, Dark Angel, Motor head, Life After Death, Death Angel, Flotsam & Jetsam etc. Who?
|
the motorhead cover of enter sandman is good, IMO better than the original.
|
dream theaters master of puppets live in barcelona was off the hook
|
Anyone heard : Metallica, The Ultimate Tribute Album. Its got a few good bands and artists covering their songs.
Song list includes: Motor Head - Whiplash Flotsam & Jetsam - Damage Inc Joey Vera (Anthrax Bassist), Nuno Bettencourt (Extreme Guitarist, i think), Scott Travis (Judas Preist Drummer), Tommy Victor (Prong Guitarist/Vocals) Trapped Under Ice - Death Angel Nothing Else Matters - Bob Kulick (Dont know where from, something to do with KISS i think), Bruce Kulick ( same deal as bob), Gregg Bissonette (Think he's a solo artist), Joe Lynn Turner (Singer for Yngwie i think and in Deep Purple perhaps. Fell free to correct me im not totally sure), Tony Franklin (Fretless bass player not sure who with tho, solo maybe) Motorbreath - Blasko (dont know), Page Hamilton (dont know), Ryan Yerdon (dont know), Scott Ian (Anthrax Guitarist) Holier Than Thou - Alex Skolnick (Testament Guitarist), Chuck Billy (Testament, Rampage Vocalist), Doug Aldrich (Solo Artist and others i think), Eric Singer (Badlands, KISS, Black Sabbath Drummer), Marco Mendoza (With various artists, too many to name. Bassist) Eye of the Beholder - Life After Death Creeping Death - Dark Angel Glad i got all that off. Well thats for anyone whos vaguely interested in this album. i get beaten at school cos i admitted i like tallica
Nah I'm Australian too, it was a joke like the whole "You've got internet in Australia now?!". Heh. And man, physically or verbally? If it's physical should get some people to kick some ***. :D And I prefer St. Anger to Load/ReLoad. |
It wasn't my first.
And I'll admit it, I hated it initially. But after listenning to it alot, it's not that bad. Sure it could have been better, but I'm thankful for what they released, personally a Load type album would have ruined it for me. |
