Thats why we all fell, i remember, some twats where making a skank pit near the front, and were the circle was, they was pushing us to the sides, to make room, and before it seatled down id already got pissed off and moved.
Skanking, PAH! Punk word to try and make their form of moshing sound unique.

Was the floor completely level? I hate it when they introduce the raised parts

Yeah, but the barrier was in a realy wierd shape, it was like a square u, becuase i was realy close to part of it, but i turned my head and seen a lot of people closer.
Nope.
Unless you're in the mood for a mild beating, they're more fun to watch.

The Lost Prophets did one at Reading, everyone was mashed together unitll the circle pits opened up, due to suckyness of the W.O.D I went in the nearest circle pit...

...and bounced off some dude flat onto my arse

I was back standing within about 3 seconds, everyone at Reading were full of respect for each other.
whats a wall of death?
Fun.

2 masses of people either side, big gap in the middle. Slam into each side at a certain point in a song.

Did one to Shadows Fall at Download 2003, feet left the ground for a minute, and had the wind knocked out of me by a small kids bone skull.

Morale? DONT CHARGE IN HEAD FIRST TO A WALL OF DEATH
whats a wall of death?
Its where the band splits up the crowd during a song, leaving a space in the middle.

Then they do a countdown or something like that, and everyone runs into each other forming either a massive circle pit, or a giant crush.

They're fun :)

Untitled 12-05-2004 03:36 PM

Lol, im gonna have a guess that the taking back sunday pit wont be to bad, but i thuaght that about blink and that was bad.

If you're lucky they might do a wall of death, Caliban did one when I saw them last week. If I'm right they're kinda the same genre of music?

I didn't want to lose my barrier space so I turned around and watched it.

Untitled 12-05-2004 03:41 PM

I got swaying pratice at blink, when they played stay together, everyone got there phones out insted of lighters (mark told us too), i turned around and looked up at the tiers, i swear there was so many mobile lights, it was such an awsome sight, i dunno why, it just loots so prettiefull.

hehe cool

people were using lighters in the pit in Feb

twas cool

oh and just so you know...I'm dounly jealous cos thy played carousel :(

Untitled 12-05-2004 03:44 PM

He he, that was the best part of the night, everyone was chatting "carousel" and mark went, this is my impression of all these people down here and went "carousel, carousel" in a realy high pitched vioce, and tom was like "dont tell us what to play" then mark started, and i went crazy.

Brew 12-05-2004 03:45 PM

I've become a barrier whore recently, the past 3 gigs I've been to I've been at the barrier (Slipknot + Slayer, Dragonforce and Machine Head)

At Dragonforce everyone did the mobile lights thing for one of their slower songs, its was pretty cool.

Also, by getting there early you'll be wanting to queue for at least 2 hours.

duffroxmysox 12-05-2004 03:46 PM

Imagine all the mobile lights...in somewhere the size of wembley

that= :cool:

duffroxmysox 12-05-2004 03:48 PM

ah well

I'm off

*I'll bring up the crimbo idea again when others are on :)*

Untitled 12-05-2004 03:48 PM

MEN is about the size of Wembly, prob little smaller, tis the 2nd biggest arena or somthign i think.

One of my mate said because i didnt get a pic, and she did, shes gonna give me one of her pics of mark, becuase she was on the barrier near him, so i huged her in joy. I need a little frame now.

Brew 12-05-2004 03:56 PM

Useless fact - My Dad went to a gig at the old Wembley Stadium, and was front row to the left a little bit.

It was a seating area, but I can't remember what band he saw.

Untitled 12-05-2004 04:01 PM

Ive never been to a gig with a seated floor, iv only ever been to 3 gigs, itll be like 6 be middle of feb, i got a few in the next while to see.

Maybe 7, if i go to the NME tour, i so wanna go, dunno if i am though.

Adam Jones is GOD 12-05-2004 04:02 PM

I need a gig lined up soon

I chickened out of seeing Fear Factory, since I need the cash. Ill check for what could possible tempt me next year

Untitled 12-05-2004 04:05 PM

Ive got TBS, greenday, the ordinary boys, maybe NME tour, which is the killers, razorlight, the futerheads, and another band which i forget.

Brew 12-05-2004 04:05 PM

Gigs lined up for me:

Next Sunday - Capdown

March 2005.

8th - Dropkick Murphys
9th - Lemon Jelly
10th - My birthday (not a gig but y'know, worth a mention)
19th - Judas Priest + The Scorpions.

I've got the gig listings for Bristol, there's quite a few bands I wouldn't mind seeing, I'm tempted to go and see The Quireboys again.

As long as the other band isnt complete ****e, that sounds like a good tour, gonna look into it

Brew 12-05-2004 04:10 PM

Razorlight are good live.

Adam Jones is GOD 12-05-2004 04:12 PM

I would go to the NME tour just for the killers. But the Futureheads make me laugh

Untitled 12-05-2004 04:13 PM

NME, mag is so much better then Kerrang, mygod i hate kerrang now, i might start to buy NME, but i can read it for free at college. Our libery gets it in everyweek, and one of my best mates buys it, i just steal it off her.

Adam Jones is GOD 12-05-2004 04:16 PM

Kerrang? Whats that?

oh wait, i seem to remeber reading one a few years ago. What a funny comic it was.

metal hammer if im gonna read anything, but most music mags are terrible. NME is two faced with a good few of their reviews.

ANd the tour info says Killers, Futureheads, Bloc Party and kaiser Chiefs. that causes me some problems, as I can see no one else i know wanting to go to that

Brew 12-05-2004 04:17 PM

Kerrang is Kerrap.

/lame

Classic Rock > All.

Untitled 12-05-2004 04:18 PM

Yeah, i got told Razorlight nnot bloc party. Id go, but all the dates are sold out. Well acording to gigsandtours.com
