So this girl I really really like who I have been friends with for 2 years has really been occupying my thoughts lately and I feel like I would be far happier with her, but I don't want to **** up our friendship forever by it, but I feel like it would be good for both of us. if you want to keep the friendship then you really can't do anything. if you want the relationship that badly then you're going to have to make a move, then back off for a little while and let her come to you.

I've found that in general (again, it depends on you and depends on the girl) you can't have the best of both worlds...once you try to make the move to a relationship it usually turns into all-or-nothing.
