Dancin' Man 01-25-2005 11:04 PM
I have a corrupted file somewhere and it makes my music players crash when they realize it's there. This means I can shuffle for days on end then all of a sudden the program gets pissy.
I lied.

2 weeks, 3 days, 7 hours, 35 minutes and 3 seconds plus a little extra cause I have a few albums downloading right now

That would be 415:35:03+

xizoesira 01-25-2005 11:05 PM

Total library play time?

Dancin' Man 01-25-2005 11:20 PM

Nah, that's just my library. My brother has about 15 more hours plus all my CDs that aren't on the computer (about 10 more hours)

ArcLite 01-26-2005 01:40 AM

Anyone still alive out there?

-Where you been xizoesira? Haven't seen you in weeks.

Riva 01-26-2005 02:21 AM

I am somewhat present. In theory at least.

BoboTheRagingHobo 01-26-2005 02:26 AM

I am still in pain of my tooth ache...and chatting on Ventrilo with my friends.

Riva 01-26-2005 02:27 AM

Are you whoring out Ventrillo now, Jason?

BoboTheRagingHobo 01-26-2005 03:04 AM

Naw, I have had Ventrilo for along time now and have been using it for a long time now as well. And my cs clan has its own ventrilo server hosted by some company, we all chat and such in there.

ArcLite 01-26-2005 03:10 AM

What is it, just an instant messaging program? I'm guessing its something like IRC? And dammit Bobo, get CS:S already.

BoboTheRagingHobo 01-26-2005 04:21 AM

Its a chat program in a way, but you talk with microphones and such on it instead of typing.

Bartender 01-26-2005 05:36 AM
It started off mainly fusion with the likes of Mahavishnu Orchestra. Right now i'm listening to Chick Corea
Chick Corea is excellent.

Anybody still here?

ArcLite 01-26-2005 05:38 AM

Roger that chief. Not much happening. Trying to make more guitar backing tracks in my endless downtime here at work.

Bartender 01-26-2005 05:40 AM

Do you ever actually do any work? Not meant in an offensive way, just you always seem to be here, talking about the lack of anything you've had to do recently.

Having said that, I actually have a day off today.

ArcLite 01-26-2005 05:48 AM

Heh, of the 8 hours I'm here I only do about an hour's work. Other than that I'm either on here, playing guitar, or playing games...And getting paid all the while.

Bartender 01-26-2005 05:52 AM

Can't be bad, then. I think I can hear Hitman 2 calling me from the tiny little area laughably known as the communal area (to the building owners, anyway; it's too small for we who actually live here to even distinguish it from the kitchen), but I think I'm going to resist it for a while. I'm looking to make an order from Amazon (.co.uk); any ideas what? Anyone?

ArcLite 01-26-2005 05:53 AM

At least give me a genre to start with...then I can throw something at you.

BoboTheRagingHobo 01-26-2005 05:59 AM

I am going to load a few mp3's up for you, since you probably haven't heard any thing from these bands, maybe you will want to buy some from them afterwards.

I am uploading something from Equilibrium and Haggard.

Genre is of no concern. So far I'm considering Arcturus, Clara Rockmore, Jaco Pastorius, Shpongle, Windir, Bonnie 'Prince' Billy and Cephalic Carnage, amongst others. My only concern really is price (and if it's good, but that goes without saying).

You're right, I haven't. I've heard you talk about them though, especially Haggard, so I'm interested.

Personally I think they are one of the coolest bands around nowadays...you will probably be either interested in them or be like eh what ever heh.

ArcLite 01-26-2005 06:06 AM

Well aside from those, if you don't already own Wintersun S/T or Ensiferum S/T, those are great choices for Folk/Viking type Power metal with harsh vocals, Wintersun especially. Good choices if your a fan of CoB, Norther or Kalmah. As far as the ones you listed I gotta go with Arcturus.

You like Ensiferum and Wintersun, so you should love Equilibrium. They are just like them, but with like death and black vocals mixed.

They just released their first album this month, and they all look like they are 17-18 heh. They are also from Germany, along with Haggard.

And yes, Arcturus - The Sham Mirrors = awesome choice.

Bartender 01-26-2005 06:10 AM

I was thinking more La Masquerade Infernale or Aspera Hiems Symfonia. From Amazon, at least.

Hmm, I will most definitely check out Equilibrium. And you say Haggard is similar as well, or just also from Germany?

Edit: Thanks for the song. I like it, where is there CD available?

BoboTheRagingHobo 01-26-2005 06:14 AM

And no, Haggard is like a 20 member band that does mideval classical music mixed with metal, and some times there is not a sign of metal in their music.

ArcLite 01-26-2005 06:23 AM

Ehh, not sure I could get into that. Certainly is different though.
