Eh, I'd say its more Metalcore. Like it matters though. I dig The Jon Spence Blues Explosion and Mclusky. Mlclusky are just so great. I love their high energy. |
I don't consider Botch to be grind at all. Metalcore without the suck really.
I've been diggin Built to Spill, Ted Leo, and a little Dresden Dolls (old album) and New Order. |
and Mclusky. Mlclusky are just so great. I love their high energy.
This is a really solid poppy rock album. I don't see how anyone could dislike it. |

This is a really solid poppy rock album. I don't see how anyone could dislike it.
Maybe someone could because it's not as good as Clarity. Been digging Built To Spill and some female singer who added me on myspace. |
Sonic Youth - Sister
|

A Tribe Called Quest Jurassic 5 De La Soul Jay-Z Kanye West The Flaming Lips NIN Sufjan Stevens I'm in a big "hip hop" piece right now. |
Nothing new, just revisiting some older digs.
Super Furry Animals - Mwng Sigur Ros - ( ) Seu Jorge - his Bowie covers from The Life Aquatic The Decemberists - The Tain |
Pulp are my new love.
Different Class and This Is Hardcore. I'll be getting His N' Hers too, soon enough. Tom Waits, too. He's awesome. Bone Machine gets plenty of listen these days. |
Idaho - Alas
One of the slowest, most mellow albums I've ever heard. There's just enough melody to keep you conscious. Definitely worth your time.
Excellent. I'll listen to this soon then. Sonic Youth - Evol Yo La Tengo - Painful Yo La Tengo - And Then Nothing Turned Itself Inside-Out Wow, Yo La Tengo is quite amazing. Much better than I even expected. |
The Cure. I need to get the deluxe editions of Porno and Faith and Seventeen Seconds.
|
fugazi- 13 songs
suggestion is so sweet |
Pick up I Can Hear the Heart Beating As One. Yo La Tengo's best by far, and one of my favorites.
Yeah, I have that as well. It is quite the record. |
Captain Beefheart and His Magic Band - Safe As Milk
Wire - Pink Flag (As seen by amazingly made avatar) |
Frank Zappa and The Fall are what i'm heavily digging recently.
Last nite, i went to see the punk band a couple of my friends are in. They were good. Anyway, 3 other bands were playing, and one was a totally rad Frank Zappa cover band. It was a pleasant surprise, seeing that at a punk night. They stole the show, and the guys in the band were cool as f'uck as well, with great taste. So there's why i'm digging Zappa more than normal. Freak Out! is my favorite of his, but i've got alot more to listen to. |
Queens of the Stone Age - Rated R
I never really got into them before, but now that I've finally been giving an album some proper listens... well, they're neat. |
shieeet i need As The Roots Undo again.

City of Caterpillar
Dag Nasty and more Peeping Tom. I listened to the 2 new Bronx songs, they sound very QotSA-inspired |
So the Pixies (or just "Pixies?") are pretty much an awesome band. Not that it took me until just right now to realize this, but I thought I'd let you know that I know :)

Heaps of stuff since I last posted. But these are some new additions that I have been digging lately.
Sleater-Kinney - One Beat The Flaming Lips - At War With the Mystics Morrissey - Vauxhall and I Elvis Costello - This Year's Model So far, I think At War With the Mystics is great. I also got, but haven't listened to yet (which means they will be dug soon): Television - Marquee Moon Neil Young - Harvest The Ponys - Laced with Romance Weezer - Pinkerton (I've obviously heard this before, but I only ever had a ripped copy) |
