Understanding In a Crash 07-13-2005 11:25 AM

Yeah I physically don't think it's possible to have a good book read in High School.

"The thing they carried" I thought was stellar though.
What was the 1st stupidest?
Great Expecations by Charles Dickens

I didnt even read half of it and i got 100 on the final for it - i laugh at the fools who read the whole thing

cbmartinez 07-13-2005 11:29 AM

Rissa, that avatar intimidated me.

Understanding In a Crash 07-13-2005 11:29 AM

Catcher In the Rye was basically about an emo kid being a pedophile. And he tried to act all hard by smoking but just doesn't want to lose innocence!

Good morning thread.

cbmartinez 07-13-2005 11:31 AM

Catcher In The Rye is amazing. Great Expectations was pretty lame but A Tale Of Two Cities is soooo good.

I got tired of looking at my ugly mug as my avatar... so I brought back the classic.

Though The Bell Jar is excellent, I don't think they're all that similar besides the whole "person making observations" thing.

I saw em at Warped Tour 2 years ago. I want my $30 back. Well no, Rancid and Dropkick and Less Than Jake and Suicide Machines and Mad Caddies were good.

Some bands sound better outside then in so that may have played a part in it but it was my first time hearing them - not a good first impression

Understanding In a Crash 07-13-2005 11:42 AM

I can't wait for Warped Tour :upset:

Another year of moshing at the Sugarcult and TBS sets. :)

cbmartinez 07-13-2005 11:43 AM

<3 Sugarcult

They are related because Sylvia Plath is often called the female JD Salinger.
Except that Salinger you know... didn't stick his head in an oven.

I'm not going this year. Too much **** and not enough good. The only band I want to see is DEP and I'm not driving 4 hours and spending 30 dollars to see them when I can wait a few months, drive 2 hours and spend 10 dollars. I'm ****ing smart.

Understanding In a Crash 07-13-2005 11:44 AM

Last year their were a group of metal-core kids moshing it up at all the teenie bopper sets and it was great fun. All of the 12 year old girls were like wtf mate.

Mute Print 07-13-2005 11:44 AM

You can hardly even mosh at the place they hold Warped Tour here, because you are standing on rocks, and it is really unlevel :upset: . I wishthey would just pave instead. It will still be fun though.
