Oh man, you too? :D

Back in the day before I started playing bass, I spent an entire six weeks of school holiday on Baldur's Gate.

I would wake up in the morning, play it all day, and long into the night. Then repeat. For six weeks. No msn, no nothing. Just Baldur's Gate, with a break for the Simpsons and Comedy With Bite.

bottlerocket 10-21-2004 01:37 PM

^ That's really cool. Ever try to be a luthier and make an instrument?

Wow man how did I forget Zelda?

Ocarina Of Time was the most incredible thing at the time for me.

And the games on the NES, I grew up with them. My dad was crazy into Zelda, he even learnt how to play the 64 so he could play Ocarina Of Time, and he even managed to beat it without my help.

I remember one night so clearly, because it was so funny.

[School night, 10 PM. Me = little kid.]

Me: /Plays Zelda on 64.
Dad: Bed time mate, school tommorow!
Me: But I'm playing! (At the time this seemed a convincing argument.)
Dad: No you're not, you're going to bed, right now.
Me: :( /Keeps playing.
Dad: Look, you can play it tommorow, now go, it's just a stupid game anyway.
Me: :upset:
Dad: Now.
Me: /Goes to bed.

[Same night, 4 AM. I wake up to get a drink of water.]

Me: /Walks past living room, sees fuzzy light but no noise, assumes TV was left on.
Dad: [Under his breath.] God, jump you fucking cunt!.
Me: Wtf? /Looks in.

He was playing Zelda, on mute, at 4 in the morning, when he had to leave for work in another hour and a half.

Oh man, NWN...

Me = </3.

I didn't like it at all, it was really well done in one sense, but it wasn't what I wanted.

I like having a party of 6, even though it's always impossible to have every character I want . And I honestly preferred the BG system to NWN, despite how advanced it was.

I absolutely loved the level editor thing though, that was amazing. I spent hours writing levels you could do in five minutes :upset:. And then my computer decided it couldn't run that anymore. But yeah, before I took up bass, my dream was to be a writer/maker of a RPG games.

Ocarina of Time was an orgasm for my hands. Literally, I know every secret, area, quote, weapon, and enemy in that game. I can beat it without dying at all...hell, without getting hit. I rule.

OoT=sex. The plot, the weapons, the levels, the bosses/enemies, the whole gameplay was just amazing.

Majora's Mask (in America...don't know what it was called elsewhere) really dissapointed me. Weak.

Wow Wintermute.

That thing with basskiid should've seemed obvious to everyone, don't you think?

It sort of confused me as to why his grammar was good all of a sudden, but I thought "hey, maybe he's trying to turn it around."

I got pwnt. :upset:

Wintermute 10-21-2004 01:55 PM

Fooled me too, which is one reason I was so annoyed at him.

Well, he's gone for a week. And if his new account (not fooling anyone) complains too much, he will be too.

Spaceman Spiff 10-21-2004 01:56 PM

Ocarina Of Time is an incredible game, but so is A Link To The Past on SNES.

Dude, I LOVED Majora's Mask. It was brilliant, in every aspect of the word.

But I must agree, Ocarina of Time was by far the best, video game, ever. Period.

Heh, I started something with OoT...I rule!

I only beat Majora's Mask because I loved OoT so much I figured I owed it to the company

I've beaten the first two original NES games, too, and the SNES ones. I don't think I've beaten the Game Boy ones, or any after Majora's Mask.
Ocarina Of Time is an incredible game, but so is A Link To The Past on SNES.
I had the ROM of Link To The Past.

I really enjoyed Link's Awakening DX on the Game Boy.

I bought that duty free on the way to Fiji for a holiday. Because I left my Game Boy in Australia, I could no nothing but read the manual till I got back. And I read that manual like a billion times. I think during that holiday I also spent a lot of time plotting out on paper a wrestling video game I wanted to make.

Man I was a loser .

Though Fiji is totally awesome, so friendly and warm, but not warm in an intolerable annoying way like when it's warm at home, because over there you want it to be warm.

The table tennis was wicked, the buffet meals were wicked, it was just hell cool. Been there twice, I think if I ever get a girlfriend again I will take her to the same resort in Fiji.

Oh, and while I was there I also found a wild dog skeleton half buried in the sand at low tide.

I just noticed that there was nothing explicit against plagiarism in the Forum Rules. I guess it was left to common sense, or assumed that people would follow the law of their own volition.

Note the past tense though.
