the capital of Alberta. :p
Edmonton, or is it Calgary. Man i always get those 2 confused with each other. |
heh, its Edmonton. Though I live just on the outside of the city.
|
I've been Vancouver. It's a beautiful place, but man, that vacation sucked. I went with my grandparents and my mom's sister(So my aunt and cousins) and man, they are the most stuffy people on the planet. We went to some dumbass farmer's market thing, then to the Buchart Gardens. It sucked hXc. :p I'd go again, but without my family.
@ low IQ'd Hoser(teehee j/k)- Elephtheria, Bliboran, Refractionoid; Take your pic. |
Elephtheria, maybe...........
Hey guys, do you think I should get a name change? Dude3 just sounds kinda bland and un-memorable. What do you think I should do? Keep it or change it? |
I've never eally heard tool, so I don't really know anything about them. Can someone tell me what kind of music thy play, and what cd I should get?
|
For starters you should probably get Aenima. They play prog-rock but more emphasis on ambience than technicality unlike Dream Theater or Rush.
|

Opiate: Aggressive heavy rock Undertow: Heavy rock Aenima: heavy rock-prog rock lateralus: heavy prog rock Get Aenima or Lateralus first and then go from there. edit: i hate when people beat me to the punch |

They play mind-trippingly great music. You should get all their albums. |
Hey siva, i've read you on the politics thread and i like what i see. fight the good fight, my friend.
|

Thanks. It gets kinda crazy in politics, but I enjoy it. Sometimes I come in here, but I don't post much in here because I usually A) get ignored or B) don't have something new to bring to the discussion. I do enjoy reading this thread alot, and Tool is, of course, one of my absolute favorite bands. |
Hey guys, do you think I should get a name change? Dude3 just sounds kinda bland and un-memorable. What do you think I should do? Keep it or change it?
Anybody? |
We know you as Dude3, just leave as that.
|
To Siva: But the more you post in here - the more you'll get noticed. If you post intelligently, then you'll be respected in here, and I think you can do that.
Anybody?
Yeah, change it if you feel the need. I changed mine to the lyrics of Zappa's Muffin Man. Also, I'd do something a little obscure, so that you aren't perceived as a fanboy. |

Indeed. I dunno, I just never feel like I have anything interesting to bring to the discussions. Though I do really like this place... |
As of late, it's turned into more of a community thread for people that like Tool than just a thread for the discussion of Tool. Mainly due to the lack of new news and material on them. :p
|
I think I might change it, although people know me as Dude3. If I do, I'll wait until I think of something good.
|
I heard that Tool has a cover song of Eddie Money's "Trinidad" on the new album. Apparantly David Draiman from Disturbed shares vocals with Maynard.

Yeah. **** their secrecy.
I heard that Tool has a cover song of Eddie Money's "Trinidad" on the new album. Apparantly David Draiman from Disturbed shares vocals with Maynard.
Umm, what? |
Haha, just getting some Tool-related discussion going. People were saying it was just a community thread for those who like Tool. :p
|
i find it a mix mash. Since the clues came out there was a huge bang of discussion, then followed by tons of somewhat off topic talk.
|

Where did you hear this news at? I knew that David Draiman was working with Mr. Keaton and Blessed in Black, but with Tool? |
And AJIG... Don't use WMA.. For the love of god
Yeah, sorry. It was just a spur of the moment 'holy crap, my mic works...its recording...quick, save it as proof' job. Still, it should have saved in .mp3 at least..., time to do some checking |
Draiman owns, his voice might clash with maynards though, they are kinda similair.
|
Did Maynard get severely beaten recently? I heard from somewhere that he did at his Arizona estate. Hoax?
