I downloaded the Peeping Tom leak yesterday, so far it's pretty sweet. "Your Neighborhood Spaceman" especially. It reminds me so much of Mr. Bungle's "Retrovertigo".
Idaho rules. I didn't know anyone here liked them.
Yeah, I've had Hearts of Palm for a couple years, and only just recently purchased Three Sheets to the Wind. How would you compare their other albums to these?

asymm 04-18-2006 09:45 PM

Oh okay, I'm thinking of looking into their debut just because it's supposed to be so different. Supposedly a record that's significantly more harsh, but still maintains his melancholic style. Seems like it could be pretty interesting.

Camera Obscura - Underachievers Please Try Harder (very Belle & Sebastian-esque, but I'm sure they're tired of hearing that. it's still good anyway. "I should be suspended from class, I don't know my elbow from my ***".)
The Stooges - Fun House

The Notwist - Neon Golden

br3ad_man 04-19-2006 02:21 AM

I'm listening to the new Streets. Has anyone else heard it yet? It's up on myspace. On first listen it's nowhere near as good as the last two. Seems pretty good though.

Tangy zizzle 04-19-2006 04:04 AM

br3ad_man 04-19-2006 05:47 AM

I've got a question. Can Nacho (or anyone else) tell me a good starting point for The Fall? They have the most overwhelming discography of any band, ever.

br3ad_man 04-19-2006 06:10 AM

Thanks man.

ATM 04-19-2006 10:17 AM

I have the Peel sessions and it is dope.

What genre of music is Botch, because I have been digging them.

JonM 04-19-2006 10:57 AM
Heh, stoner.
Touché.

I'm working on cutting down on that, but you certainly caught me red handed with that list.

ATM 04-19-2006 11:02 AM
Last night I listened to some At The Drive-In before going to bed. I hadn't listened to them in a loooooong while.
Oh, good stuff. I listened to Relationship of Command the other day and was easilly satisfied, Invalid Litter Dept. is one of my favorite songs of all time.

Robert Crumb 04-19-2006 04:03 PM

I got sent some Absolute Kosher album that I'm listening to right now. Band is the Court and Spark. Kinda dreamy indie pop without being dream pop. A bit Enoish, in a way, a bit country in another. There are some interesting things here, but the singer's voice doesn't really strike me.

Also, I heard what I'm assuming is the new Tool single. It kinda started boring but got cool and then kinda ended. But that's the way all these "song" things work, huh?
