I've talked about mx with my family. My dad knew my username, too. They don't really care, my dad posts on several forums of his own.

They were a little amazed when I told them I just reached 10k posts, though.

And no, I would not pay for this site.

I paid for Something Awful, and I don't feel like it was money wasted. I spend so much money on stupid things anyways, $10 for hours of entertainment every day is nothing. It also weeds out a lot of stupid people, and makes bannings significant.

Seriously, add up the amount of hours you've spent here and then like do some math with like $10. You'd be spending less than a cent per minute, I bet.

It doesn't weed it stupid people, it weeds out smart people who will simply go to a different forum that is free.

No one will sign up to a forum where you can get banned. If I'm going to pay money to use a forum, I damn better be able to post whatever the **** I want on that forum.

Eh, that assumes that there is no alternative to MX. I would bet that jewy people from this forum would simply create another free one where you can get similar amounts of entertainment levels.

The Better Forums sucked. Besides, the greatest boards on the net are SomethingAwful and they charge to sign up. I don't think those two things are unrelated. As it is MX is merely ok. I think we'd have a better average of users if there was money charged. I mean Jeremy's already losing money on the site as it is, it wouldn't be that huge.
