Creedence Clearwater 11-27-2004 10:55 PM

Badmoon 11-27-2004 11:05 PM

My avatar is the evolution of yours. By the way do you listen to much woody Guthrie?

Badmoon 11-27-2004 11:10 PM

Sure, I've been getting into him a lot lately.

Badmoon 11-27-2004 11:21 PM

Nah, but I'm still kind of new to him. :)
Well, as my brother says: "Rap is really bad poetry to a really bad computirized beat."

What more is it?
Nah, some older stuff like I said earlier is more than that, it actually took some type of talent and ability, and lyrics were better than rap now.

^Delete or edit your post in "Band your Embarassed..." thread. You spelt a whole heap of words incorrectly.

I saw this Fleetwood Mac documentry thing a few days ago. They're not the greatest band in the world but they've left a bit of a legacy so I watched. It was very well made and all of the band members did interviews.

They're doing ones for Pink Floyd, The Who, Led Zeppelin and Pete Townsend too :)

unclebobscircus 11-28-2004 10:23 AM
What channel? I'd be more interested in seeing the other ones they're doing than the one for Fleetwood Mac...they're OK, but all the others are among my favourite bands.
Agreed, it looks interesting.

Would the happen to be the A&E channel? Because they had a biography on David Crosby and Janis Joplin.

BludgeonySteve 11-28-2004 11:11 AM

I think so.

 they kick arss too.

Classic rock documentrys are awesome :thumb:

Badmoon 11-28-2004 12:51 PM

They showed The Grateful Dead movie on WTTW. If anyone have that channel.

RockAndRoll 11-28-2004 01:04 PM

biography channel is doing a whole bunch of classic rock biographies this week at 9p.m eastern standard time. Check them out.

what channel is WTTW (what does it stand for)?

Badmoon 11-28-2004 01:06 PM

They don't advertise in any other name. Only WTTW. So, it's irrelevant. I believe they are mainly based in Chicago. They also don't run by commercials. They run by donations and such.

Sounds cool, I've never heard of them though.

I found this really funny. One episode of american dreams was advertised as "Completely comercial free, brought to you by ford".

oldskoolsoldier 11-28-2004 01:11 PM

Ya, at my school its all comin back, ive been into the old stuff(more metal and thrash, but i love the guitar in like Zeppelin and Pink Floyd etc...) for quite some time then like last year and a little two years ago people started gettin into old stuff, i always find myself saying "if only i were born in 1965, then i could have lived with the music i love" and now so many people have the nestalgia for classic 60s-80s music its great, there are still the **** kids that listen to rap cuz they think its the cool thing but whatever, im just happy people are noticing how much skill and techique these bands have,or had, and hopefully bands coming up will try to bring those styles back instead of this nu metal stuff, some is okay, and im praying to God they will come and take over the world once again.
Hey, I think we agreed to ease up off the non-regulars a little bit. I think your way is more fun though.
Yea but this jrock guy deserves it. Who is he to tell Malcolm that his Ibanez comment belongs in the guitar forum? Its good to hear that he got a new guitar. That's pretty gay.

I'll be repping everyone now that I have my rep back.

jpj 11-28-2004 01:37 PM

Yea, and who's he to tell us to get back on topic? We can talk about whatever the hell we want.

magicbus 11-28-2004 01:44 PM

That's my point. This guy is the manifestation of n00b.

I really want to learn pedal steel guitar (or whatever its called), especially after listening to Zeppelin's Tangerine. It sounds so sweet and the whole thing looks really intriguing.

Badmoon 11-28-2004 01:46 PM

Though you got the name right, it'd be best if you absolutly knew the name correctly before you decide to play it. ;)

People will hurt you :(

I like the n00bs that just say "omg classic rock is coming bak" better than guys that pretend like they know what they're talking about by asking us all these pointless questions about who's better.

jpj 11-28-2004 01:59 PM

Since apparently is now ok to be off topic, can we talk about pancakes?

I sure do love pancakes, I haven't had them in awhile though. :upset:

I'm back from London(ont.)!!!

I went to my cousins and smoked 3 bowls of Purple Haze weed then went to Tim Hotons and ate doughnuts. Then I watched the Wall and went to the Santa Claus parade. It was a fest.:)

I also bought the Wall on C.D.(I had it on viynl) for $15!!

I'm happy:)
